The song is Fire !! The end when he blends in “ Got to be real “ is genius !!!

Whodini doesn't come close to getting the credit they deserved. True pioneers of hip hop. They dropped 4 quality LP's in the 80's - one went platinum and two went gold. People seem to forget.

They really don’t and even worse, the legendary super-producer Larry Smith gets even less but he produced 5 minutes of Funk, Friends, 1 Love, I’m a Hoe and every other classic Whodini track plus Run-DMC, Kurtis Blow, and so many other dope Hip-Hop artist tracks. Also: Larry Smith along with Trevor Gale & Davy DMX formed Orange Krush the production team. If u remember Run on Run DMC’s “Sucker MC’s” off their 1st album said “took a test to become an emcee, and Orange Krush became amazed with me.” That was him. Rest in Power Ecstasy & Larry Smith. Thank you for so many iconic and timeless classics. 🙏🏽❤️🩹🏆👑

@@GunninRebel55 ABSOULTELY 110% TRUTH. And I want to put an emphasis on what you said: quality ALBUMS! Meaning from start to finish! Back when hip-hop was all about SINGLES , this was really the first group I can remember who put out a full album of great material (followed shortly thereafter by Run-DMC) with no filler. I listened to “Open Sesame” and “Back In Black” in their entirety non-stop. Don’t even get me started on “Escape” which was just a ridiculously awesome ALBUM from beginning to end! My dad wore that album out. We were overseas when that one dropped, and it was HUGE on the European continent!! Glad to see the props for Larry Smith, a truly unsung hip-hop hero (who also helped Run-DMC create their first two iconic albums).

This album dropped after graduation (Class of 1987). Jam this whole cassette from Fort Dix, NJ to Boston, MA after Basic Training (December 87). My favorite rap group. Thanks for the music and memories. Rest on Ecstasty.

3:50 To this day, Grandmaster D is the ONLY person I’ve heard do a successful “transform” technique on Cheryll Lynn’s classic song….myself included! 😂😂
