Sandra, my grandmother lived to 105. She had your exact mindset, only positive things, a rosy cheek smile, never smoked, small glass of red wine every day of her life (said it was good for her heart), clear blue eyes that twinkled, never had a broken bone and outlived five of her doctors. She had 3 husbands that died in unexpected ways, and then never married again. She kept going until God called her home.😇 My goal is to beat her personal best if only by one year😇Love your videos, love your timely advice.❤ God bless and keep you safe.❤

You’d like a YT channel called Pasta Grannies. All older women w/some 100+ yos making their own fresh pasta dishes incl the pasta. A few have a sherry or of course some wine after.😂🙏 Some still garden and like Sandra stay active and social. An Italian friend’s nonna lived to 109 and made the best (I’m told) gnocchi and yes some dessert. His uncle is late 70s but looks like 60 and walks everywhere and makes olive oil. But diff is it’s all home made and the flour is organic fresh milled. So prob better to follow Sandra’s tips for us in the west. Ciao ❤️

Great tips, Sandra! You're always an inspiration. I live alone and eat healthy meals, also. I fast from 2 pm to 8 am, get my exercise from stacking and moving firewood, shoveling snow, and in the summer, mowing about an acre of my property. If I feel down or stressed, nothing improves my mood and outlook on life as much as physical activity. Having a small dog to walk each day helps too. He's almost 14, so our walks are shorter these days....I like the idea of a carriage for your dog so you can both get out and enjoy nature. I'm 74 and loving my life. See you next week!

@@JD-tn5tb I don't mow the whole lawn at once, though. My lawn is set back from the road up a winding driveway. I've planted trees that have made 'rooms' in different areas. Each day I pick the one I feel like needs it the most, and by the time I get it all done, it's time to begin over again....lol. I don't think I could do a back and forth type mowing for a whole acre, but the regular exercise of smaller sections make it very doable. I just love being able to exercise my muscles each day. Best wishes to you!

You're an inspiration. I'm 64, ate healthy all my life, didn't smoke and a social drinker. However due to dysfunctional and abusive relationships I now find myself "burnt out" suffering with chronic fatigue, anxiety and depression. I see other people my age just starting to enjoy their lives free of many of the responsibilities of work and children but not for me. It is sad but watching you at 85 living your best life is very inspirational. Take care.❤

I get it. I was burnt out as a caretaker for my husband. You can rebound. It is possible. Just start taking care of yourself by being kind to yourself. East right, get more rest, reach out to others and don’t hold things in. It will take time, but you can do it. Love yourself and start your day with one grateful and positive thought. It is surprising how it will help you.

Always buy organic when you can. Always. It's not more expensive. What's expensive is buying no organic, foods with high sugar, fructose, white flour, preservatives, processed meats, farm raised meat pumped with hormones and chemicals. That's what's expensive! Not eating healthy. That's less expensive and lower medical bills. So, save money by eating healthy, buying healthy food and walking. Your body and mind will thank you.🙏💖💃

We have also cut back on eating meat but do eat fish and sometimes turkey or chicken. Your wisdom and advice is so greatly appreciated. I do need to improve on getting more exercise. My job keeps me so busy and when I arrive home I am so tired. I just recently have been trying to take breaks and go for walks. Thank you for your Sunday talks. Hi Sandra. You sure look great and whatever you're doing is working for you! I am 67 and have realize how important protein and fiber is good for our bodies. I intermittently fast also. I only eat 2 meals a day, but I pack in the protein. I have a knee that needs to be replaced so I have put that off, knowing I need to get back into my walking which I would do every day. So beneficial for mental health. I watched "60 minutes" here on KZbin a documentary called "Living into your 90's. It was a real eye opener. What the 90 some year olds all had in common was different than the periodical for those of us in our 60's and 70's. I’ve also learned I can use the PT gym for free for life now that I have been a patient there. I’m already getting stronger after just a few weeks. I have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and going through a flare right now, so trying to cut gluten and dairy and eliminating processed foods at least for a while. I love your optimistic frame of mind, Ms. Sandra! I, too, tend to the optimistic and I always, always, always have projects going or in the planning. I also have a big raised bed gardens and a smallish orchard of fruit trees. I keep honeybees. I use nothing in my garden that isn’t organic, do all the weeding and planting and harvesting and harvest preservation (canning, freezing foods mostly). I am of the firm belief that staying engaged in life and doing things you enjoy, as well as watching your diet as best you can will help keep us healthy and give us a longer life. You look amazing - all that gorgeous hair! Thanks for your videos.❤

My own observation of your exercise routine: to help you on days when you don't feel like going out, I recommend you do a gentle workout when you've got things to do as it's easy to do overdo this on some days without being aware of the effects afterwards, causing drowsiness. x

Sandra, you always make the wheels in my head start spinning. You offer us so much good advice and I think the best compliment we can give you is to learn from you and improve our lives. I appreciate having you as a positive role model. I know that it's easy for us to sit here and listen, then do nothing with what you've shared and my hope is that we will all take to heart what what you say and apply it to our own lives. Those of us who are younger will benefit from adopting healthy choices early and those of us who are older know deep down that's never too late to make needed changes. Your one example of taking your dogs for walks showed us how to get exercise, enjoy nature and spend social time with those we see along the way. Lots of powerful lessons there. No matter our age, we can, and it's important for us that we also do serve as good role models for others. Sandra, thank you for taking your time to pour blessings into our lives.

Just a lot of work but usually only be very other day. I make enough for a couple of meals. But I also love to bake healthy desserts no sugar and always bake my own gluten free bread. Everything is homemade. Seems you cant trust foods much anymore. I also grow my seasoning and veggies. But so worth it. Enjoy your week as i know you will. Positivity is the only way to be happy. My experience has been that with more practice less discipline is needed. Also, stacking habits helps. Stack a new activity on top of a good habit you already have. An easy example... If you want to take better care of your skin, but keep forgetting or don't think you have time, add cleanser and moisturizer to the morning and evening tooth brushing routine you already have. Ease yourself in with just a couple extra minutes. When you're consistent with this, you can add some other products, if you like.

Thank you so much, dear Sandra, for sharing your tips on healthy eating! You said in your video you are not eating between meals. How do you manage to do that? This is something I have been struggling with. In any case, I love watching your videos. You are such an inspiration to us all! Thank you.

Hi Sandra just came across your channel. Thankyou for sharing your videos and encouraging people to cut back on sugars. I am 71 years old and I do intermittent fasting and watch what I eat. I do 18 hrs fast. I eat dinner at 6 pm and fast from 7pm and eat breakfast at 1pm next day! Thankyou for sharing your videos and advise. Love and God bless ❤🙏🏻

I wish I could be your neighbor so we could be friends and support each other. I’m like you with taking care of myself, caring for others and holding a positive mindset. I’m 72, living alone, too, in Denver. I look forward to your video each week. Thank you for your inspiration!

Thank you, Sandra, for your great advices. I also lost my husband. I eat just like you, in the morning I drink black coffee with a tablespoon of coconut oil. As a supplement I take the Lions Mane mushroom tincture 5-6 days a week twice a day for it's benefits for the brain functions and for my mentand health. These mashrooms are not psychodelic. I walk, ride bicycle, and do exercises in front of tv. I love to exercise with two Japanese trainers. They are showing different types of excercises than we know. Their channels on You Tube are: 1. Muscle Watching 2. Imi's Bigan Yoga
