Nearest TJ's from me is at least 8 hours. Glad you mentioned apple sauce, most city slicker chefs don't :)

I feel you on this! I've lived in places far without TJs too. The granola will still be super delicious if you use applesauce instead of fig butter. Hope you love it! 😀❤️

@@greensagelife I'm sure I will. I stopped eating cereals and granola, but I do miss them. Trying this week.

This looks delicious and very healthy. Do you have any tips on how this recipe could be adapted to make it into granola bars?
@greensagelifeАй бұрын
Thank you so much, Diane! This is a good question. I think a granola bar recipe would be significantly different, since it needs to hold together much more than granola. However, I do have a nice no-bake granola bar recipe that I would be happy to share with you! 😀❤️

What about using peanut butter instead of fig butter???
@greensagelifeАй бұрын
Great question, Judy! I'd rather see you substitute peanut butter in place of the almond butter, if you're looking for a peanut-y flavor, and then, if you don't have fig butter, I'd recommend substituting something else fruit-based, like applesauce or apple butter or pumpkin butter. You'll maintain the texture of the granola better that way, with a balance of what is essentially pureed fruit and pureed nuts, rather than going all the way over to entirely nut butters. Hope that's helpful! 😀
