Whole house Express water filter - Replace filter with KDF - March 2021

Kdf isnt good if you cant back flow it, is my understanding. An comments on that?

Why wouldn't KDF be good without back flow? Curious.

@@zo2ahy basically its a way to rinse the filter out. Itll work fine at first but over time crap builds up and it doesn't work as well. Unlike a standard pre filter (you should have a pre filter before your kdf filter) that gets clogged up and you just replace it, kdf can be rinsed out and used again. Im no expert but I do use high end water filters and r/o systems.

Do you know if KDF filters arsenic? Did you do a water test on the filtered water to see what it removed?

Yes. I used the KDF once and it fits with no issue. Just make sure its in the middle.

Your sediment filter was not really that dirty. I can show you one that was installed for less than a month that is the color of a rusted metal bucket.

I agree… the next replacement I did was worse than this one… Its just the chlorine taste that bothers me more after 6 months

The water taste fine…but this is not an RO system.. you can buy that and install it too.

It may be drinkable, but not necessarily healthy. Use an RO filter also.
