You are a good teacher. Clearly you have been through all of these mistakes and you documented and learned from it. However, to be able to articulate it out clearly in simple non technical way is another whole level of teaching. This is probably the best latte art video in youtube.

Other tutorials don't know the importance of dissecting the steps, and if they do, they do it with too much info dump. You sir are truly a master of your craft for explaining it well while providing just enough info and visual aid for a beginner to really understand latte art without feeling overwhelmed or confused. Thank you!

Thank you so much for emphasizing the difference between at-home entry level machines and professional espresso machines for cafes. This is very rarely discussed in tutorials. I’m still trying to sort out how long I need to inject air before putting the steam wand deeper into the milk. I realized after many videos that the 2-4 second rule for powerful espresso machines simply does not apply to an entry level espresso system most of the time. Great video.

Much appreciation.

Hi VAN, Thanks for the comment and question. Electric frothers/whippers have a tough time replicating the quality of microfoam produced by manually steam frothing. One thing you could try is pouring the froth between pitchers to get a better mixing.

This is great thank you. I think my main mistake was milk separation so will be working on that going forward. One side point, you mention 60ml of espresso at one point. I'm struggling to get a straight answer on espresso size. I'm currently working on 18g of grind producing 36ml of espresso. How are you getting 60ml?
@Wholelattelovepage8 ай бұрын
Hi dan, thanks for the question. To be clear the 60ml is a volume measurement which includes the crema layer and not a weight measurement. If weighing the 60ml espresso it would likely come out at closer to 36 grams.
