WHY SUBSCRIBE TO WHOLESALE TED?
A business isn't a way to get rich fast. A business is simply when you learn to do these 3 things really well:
1) Creating or finding great products/services to sell.
2) Putting those products in front of the right customers.
3) Giving those customers a great reason to buy.
And each person will have their own journey to get there with a LOT of hard work & sacrifices along the way 💪👊
On this channel, we discuss all topics for ecommerce business owners (with a sprinkle of motivation thrown in too)!
* Case studies on successful ecommerce stores.
* Tutorials for apps & online tools.
* Low-cost, beginner-friendly product sourcing methods (Print On Demand & Dropshipping).
* Sales psychology tactics to increase conversions & get customers to buy from you & to click on your ads.
* Videos to help you with the "legal stuff" (creating refund policies, setting up taxes, etc).
So if you are someone who is building (or want to build) a REAL business (especially with ecommerce) & want to follow channels with actionable content to help you along your journey & make your store even better, subscribe today! 🔥

she knows how to sell an ebook with a monthly subscription - I don't know about actually selling though? Never seen even a shred of evidence of even ONE product. She claims people will copy her, but part of being a "a guru" is knowing how to negate that. She's happy to post other people's work and claim it made "100's of thousands" to create a viral video. And, what's the difference, she makes the bulk of her income from selling regurgitated guru advice, is she not doing the same thing ..ripping off of an authors work and applying it to her own courses? Oh, wait she's "transforming" it, so it makes it ok lol
@cherryness14
@cherryness14 4 жыл бұрын
Rachun Kizacks Posting other people’s work is what makes her a humble human being. I mean, we can maybe ask her which stores are hers, but part of growing in the industry of dropshipping is being able to MODEL other stores that are successfully profiting on certain products and how they sell it. Not exactly copying it. Plus she does cover how to market your products to pick up traffic to your store, that’s whether you decide to do paid ads or try Pinterest and Instagram’s ways of using tags/hashtags, or Facebook’s way of free engagement by building a group page (a good alternative to email marketing) perhaps with giveaways or discounts, maybe even a membership for reduced prices.

@@cherryness14 if she does sell, she would have multiple accounts - and use one for demonstration purposes on her videos. And EVEN IF she was scared of being "copied" the odds on anyone being able to completely take over her concepts and win more then 50% share is like 100000 to 1. There is more work than simply posting the same design and advertising on social media. She she's happy to show her "millionaire" friends (ya know, the friends that just so happen to need to sell their course as well aka scammers) and show off their stores, but not her own? Sorry, but that tells me either she doesn't sell, or she sells but nowhere near enough to justify acting like a guru while transforming other peoples content. I also strongly disagree with her theory on options, if your customers are too dumb and think 10 options will create analysis/paralysis - they shouldn't be your customer in the first place. She thinks all customers are stupid and using emotion to trick them in to buying is the way to go. Say goodbye to repeat customers lol #endofrant

When I'm wealthy and successful, I'll always remember it was you who inspired me. :) Thanks Sarah! Also, quick question that concerns the topic of choice. Is it not a good idea to offer black, black heather, AND heather gray shirt options (or are they too similar)? If so, does black heather tend to be a better seller than regular black? The design looks good on all 3!
@WholesaleTed
@WholesaleTed 4 жыл бұрын
Heather is a completely different fabric, so offering heather/non heather is a pretty significant choice. You can offer all 3 absolutely fine. I suspect out of those 3, the one customers would order the least is actually the heather black. One thing to keep in mind with heather though is that the prints are not as vibrant. I really like heather t-shirts too, don't get me wrong, but I am careful with what designs I offer on heather because they don't print as vibrantly. No matter what though, it's still just 3 options. That's not that many to choose from. It's when you start to offer 5+ choices, that this truly starts to kick in.

I completely agree with the results of the violinist experiment but I want to say that it may be premature to draw a conclusion solely based on its findings. The metro and the theatre have different target markets, purpose, and time availability. People elect to go to the theatre and set aside time to watch a performance whereas, in the metro, people elect to get to a destination. Also, 100% of the theatre audience wants to see the performance whereas not 100% of the metro people plan or have time to see one. But you can say that if the theatre can fit 100 people and website traffic to buy the movie tickets are 1000 people, then you capture 10%. If 100 people walk through the metro and 10 people stopped, then that is also 10%. I think a better experiment would be to have the same sample group choose from A or B where the only difference is presentation and price.

The theory of less choice makes some sense. But have you been to the supermarket and seen how many varieties of Oreos there are? My understanding is line extensions mean taking up more shelf space and getting your logo in more places, and ubiquity = sales. How to mix this witth the less types of jame idea. Which situation to apply one or the other?
@WholesaleTed
@WholesaleTed 4 жыл бұрын
Actually no, because Oreos are barely a thing in New Zealand. But Tim Tams! We have a million and one different Tim Tam flavours :) The thing with Oreos/Tim Tams is that when they launched, they didn't launch with 10 flavours. They launched with 1 flavour. As their fanbase grew, they launched new flavours & tested them. They've gradually added flavours overtime.

I just have to object to the conclusion in the Violinist Experiment.... He's able to fill a concert hall at high ticket prices because that audience comes from a small selection of people who know his music and appreciate the genre. That niche probably represents 1% of the community. Standing in a commuter station and doing the same thing is not an exposure to the same niche. The fact that only one person recognized him or his 'talent' only illustrates that 90% of the people didn't have the time to pay attention, can't discern between a renowned classical violinist versus an 'amateur' who might also be just as talented, find the idea of buskers to be obnoxious, or just dislike classical music/violin solos. It has very little to do with establishing value in different contexts. // That is all. Otherwise, i'm a new subscriber, and i'm hoping you're going to help me figure out why my shops with stunning product are not being effectively marketed/received.....

Hey Sarah, ABC News just released a video regarding a plunge in the US market due to the Corona Virus. I'm afraid this may really hurt my print on demand business once I get it up and running. Any thoughts?

Print On Demand is actually insulated against the virus more so than most other businesses. Manufacturing is done locally and you can switch apparel if your provider runs out of a particular brand.

Do I need to register as a Sole proprietor or LLC to start my shopify print on demand store?

I can't tell you that, every country is different, you will need to do your own research 🌞 most countries are absolutely fine as a sole proprietor but again, it is going to be up to you, to do a little Googling & find out the information for yourself, based on where in the world you live, not every country has the same laws 🌞

I think you should do a video on this coronavirus economic meltdown in China and all countries. This is a direct effect on on-line buying of most items.

I mean I really can't. I am not qualified to make a video on a topic that world experts are forming committees to answer. What right do I have to give advice on something like that? None. What I can say is that my ecom businesses haven't been effected because I have USA based suppliers, something I have talked extensively about on this channel 🙏

But USA manufacturing is DIRECTLY impacted niw, as we speak. You're supposedly the expert on dropshipping. All of us, your "children" are noticing complete silence on this topic. I will say this. In times of crisis VICE and survival products di very well. And a country that outsources its food and manufacturing to a Communist nation is a foolish one.

Here is the thing. This virus? It effects literally every business. Every single business is impacted. Including jobs. No matter what, we all have to face this reality this year: >>> Businesses are NOT going to make as much money in 2020 as they did in 2019. Businesses will need to take action. And jobs will be lost. IMHO I'd be pretty nervous now as an employee, because as an employee, you don't have control over what the business you work for does, or how they choose to react to the crisis. But, once we, as business owners, face that reality, and accept that chances are, we will make less money in 2019 than 2020, we CAN take action & control our destiny, so it's time to move onto the next questions. Why will we make less money? 1) Manufacturing will be impacted because employees can't be grouped together efficiently, and we lose the ability to meet demand because mass-scale production slows down. 2) Shipping is going to be slowed, because air travel between countries will be minimized. Sea shipping will carry on relatively like normal, but air shipping/express shipping will be choked due to a lack of planes carrying cargo. Alright. So now as a business you say, OK, how can I minimize the impacts of these? Here are 3 ways I'm doing that. 1) My store sells MANY items, not just 1. That way, I'm not reliant on a single product to be manufactured. 2) My POD products are also printed onto mass-produced apparel, rather than niche apparel, so that it's less likely the choke on manufacturing will result in my POD suppliers running out of stock. 3) My fulfillment is local within the USA & some within Europe. That way my shipping times are unlikely to be impacted for customers, because I'm not relying on air shipping. Customers during the virus will be buying products online EVEN MORE than before, because they won't be able to leave their houses. The issue isn't demand, it's supply. And so smart businesses build in safeguards & plan to deal with it, and that is how I am 🙏🏻 IMHO this is not the best time for 1-product dropshipping stores, because of this. They rely on one product & if manufacturing gets choked for it, they don't have any other products to sell instead: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2GVgomKrc2Cg5I It's also not a great time for service based businesses, since face-to-face meetings & in-person activity is what is on the chopping block, if the virus spreads to the USA.

7:54 Your videos are fantastic, but this analogy about the violin player is incorrect. People were not listening to him because this is not his audience. These may not be people who understand this kind of music. Even if you put these 1000 people in the music hall, they may just leave.
