Yes, it was also amazing to see how so many weren't so sensitive yet in regards to jokes and getting easily offended. Even Whoopi can laugh about herself, her background and skin-color etc. No big deal.

What does it have to do with 9/11? It was 7 months afret that terrorist attack
@dvchel
@dvchel 5 жыл бұрын
@@nickxyx2879 Seriously? The events of September 11th were the most tragic event to hit American soil since ever. Even Pearl Harbour pales in comparison. People at the time were still grieving and mourning the loss of their loved ones, thousands of families being broken apart for no reasons, those physically and emotionally hurt by the scale and tragedy of the events, while also having to deal with the loss of the Twin Towers, who were an enormous symbol of American might and glory.

A lot of newbies don't understand that it takes intelligence, natural humor, and so much more for them to hand her Oscar after Oscar. She transforms herself so well into any character that she plays.

If you watched the video, at 3:56 she includes Dame Maggie Smith (who, being a decorated English actress is obviously completely unrelated) as the same family as Will Smitt & Jada Pinkett Smith which makes it funny.

Geez, this was twenty years ago! And the last time Whoopi hosted the Oscars. She said she will never do it again.. Too bad, I miss her as the host. Not a dull moment when she's on stage as the host with her funny monologues and sketches....😃🤩
