Sprawling under Ukraine, The Odessa Catacombs with its vast network of over 2,500 kilometers of tunnels have been used to hide anyone from criminals, political dissidents, to partygoers. But where do rumours of hidden treasures made from solid gold, and dead bodies laying forgotten come from? Let’s get into it.

Pro tip: When lost in a maze, grab something to Mark the walls. Draw a line on it, until you come back to the beginning, (which means this is an independent wall, and then choose another, and do the same) until, you eventually find the entrance, from the outer wall of the maze. Time consuming, but the only sure way.
@rattoota

Thats not a sure way to avoid getting lost. The catacombs are pitch black. If your light goes out there's no way you would be able to see the marks you left on the walls.

Any time I go exploring underground I take 2 battery powered flashlights and a 3rd "shaker light". A shaker light is a flashlight that is powered by a capacitor. You charge the capacitor by shaking the light that has a magnet and a coil. It takes a lot of shaking to get the light to work, but so long as you can still shake it, you will have a reliable light source. I've never needed the shaker light but I have needed the back up battery light a few times.
@Murdermagictricks

Seems like if you ever lack the energy....or a hand.... you might run out of luck and light. Try and find one where you just squeeze the handle
@erictaylor5462
@erictaylor5462 Жыл бұрын
@@Murdermagictricks That doesn't work. You have to move the magnet through the coil. They have lights you can wind up like an old watch, but they are not as reliable. The shaker light is a back up to the back up. It is there just incase all else fails and needs to be as reliable as possible. The chances of needing it are extremely remote, but the shaker light is not heavy and the penalty of having it is worth the very tiny chance you might someday need it. I also use one as an emergency light encase of power failure. It can be used to find other lights if needed, but isn't all that useful outside of using it to find a candle and a lighter.

I think the corpse as a real corpse is plausible; I imagine bodies turn up in those catacombs all the time. Odessa is a large enough city to have reasonably high crime demographics. However, "Masha" with no last name is suspect. Did her parents (or any other family member) ever come forward looking for their daughter? Or could she have been a homeless girl hanging out with students? Too many possibilities! And Russians (from my personal experience) have no problem with misleading people out of boredom/other. It's not surprising to me that there are so many conflicting stories.

You could take a page from mythos. Use a strong reel of rope/twine/wire/cable/whatever, secured at the entry point and unravel it as you go. Then when its time to leave, follow it. They sell reels of the stuff at scuba stores for cave/wreck diving. At least they do at my local one

i think it's the labyrinth of thoughts. so shallow yet we don't know where's the end. so deep it feels like an abyss. sometimes, we don't know the next thing we'll be thinking. but sometimes, an answer we don't expect just blurted out instantaneously. at the end of sentence, i don't know why i typed this. hahaha

I have a question about Quiz. How long has she been with the gang? I haven’t watched in a while and just got back into watching Brew, so I don’t know her. Though I do like her. She seems like a good part of the team. ☺️ Edit: We still haven’t explored everything there is to explore on earth. There’s still the deeper bits of ocean and numerous caves to go through.
