Agreed. I've owned & spent thousands on different pistol calibers. Besides 38 special simply out of classy, pocket carry simplicity. 9mm always out performs others and is my go to. Also like you said, cost & availability are huge factors these days.

And although I do enjoy 40 I carry 9mm for my edc because also if shtf you know you will eventually come across 9mm more easy due to the fact that it's the most common handgun caliber and most accessible
