I love this derby. A great city with two of the best clubs in the world. Milan represents the Milanese pride, also because they have lots of homegrown youth players playing a lot throughout their history. Inter is a bit classier and represents the international side of the city. I'm an Interista myself, but I have deep respect for both clubs, also you aren't really Milanese if you don't hate Juve lol.
@TheTheMonkey936 жыл бұрын
Inter classier? Let me laugh. Milan had class and fight in them back in the day. All Inter has ever done is whine and moan about everything.
@geimzz6 жыл бұрын
@@TheTheMonkey93 inter is classier. Not in style of play, but in their way of showing themselves (though I do not know how Milan was before that disgusting piece of shit Berlusconi took over) You can also see it in the design of the kits, the merchandise and the pre-match formalwear. Milan is more powerful and passionate, while Inter is more elegant.

As an Inter fan, I would say that this video is a good insight into the derby. It's not a fierce one (mostly like a cousin vs cousin) and the real derby is the match vs Juventus (Derby d'Italia). P.S. the Moratti-Berlusconi era can be seen in the dressing room. Milan has chairs/seats (to feel like someone "divine") and Inter has just an oval form dressing room without any chairs/seats.

Xavi Georgio Hey man, speaking as a United fan), while we are on a decline, I’d say we’re still on top. Yeah the last 6-7 years have been our worst period in decades but we’ve at least still been picking up trophies and finishing above our rivals. Liverpool haven’t actually WON anything in that time. But yes if the way things are going continue the way they are, this could be the start of a period of time where Liverpool become more of a force here and on the continent than us. And with that comes more power that isn’t quantifiable. Success brings success. I guess the only thing in their way at the minute is City. Oh, what a time to be alive, eh? 🙃

The "Red Cross" you see on European flags is called the St George’s Cross. St George was a Roman soldier and a priest of the Guard of the Diocletian. During the Crusades, the soldiers would wear plain white tunics, thus the birth of a white background. The cross was used to represent this martyred saint in his religious capacities and was his emblem during his years of battle. He is considered a saint in the Catholic, Anglican, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox churches. The Pope had decided that all English Crusaders should wear red tunics with white crosses, while the French opted for red on white. The English then wanted to reclaim their emblem of a red cross on a white tunic and, in 1188, the kings of each country decided to exchange their flags. However, some of the French soldiers continued to wear their old tunics, resembling the English. For this reason, the red cross on the white background eventually became the symbol for the Crusaders, irrespective of their nationality. TL;DR: St George's Cross was used for the Crusaders as apart of "religious duty" to reclaim Christianity in Israel. By this time, majority of Europeans had converted to Christendom which then became the common de facto religion in the region.
