G3 really deserves more love and this special is a good argument as to why! minty is a really lovable character, and the whole movie just has such a cozy and kind vibe G3 was the gen of my childhood days so it holds a lot of sentimentality for me personally. i remember being upset as hell at how the gen 4 fans just...hated it with a disturbing passion lol

This was me as well! I stopped watching g4 during season 5 as a kid, but right now I'm currently collecting g3 toys and the films! (Even though there aren't many 🥲) Another thing I've been considering doing is collecting the singalong's and books as well! A lot of g3 merch (everything that came during g3) is cheap and very easy to collect as g3 didn't do well commercially, alongside the fact it has a smaller fandom than g1 and g4. It's to the point I've found g3 NIB's selling for near the price that they would've sold for in store (like only being $5 more expensive) and it's crazy to me! I wish g3 got what it deserved 😪

It's funny because just earlier today I was just getting nostalgic over this movie and how I feel it really didn't deserve the hate it got during the age of G4. I grew up watching this movie during the holiday season-I remember pulling out the DVD and popping the disk into my DVD player and watching it once, twice, sometimes even three times in one sitting. It's such a feel-good movie that really gets you into the holiday spirit. You said it better than I could, its the perfect holiday comfort movie. And honestly without it, it just wouldn't feel like Christmas. P.S. Minty is and always will be my favorite G3 pony. To me, she's the embodiment of the holiday spirit, and I find her clumsy nature very charming. I also just really adore how she was somewhat of an inspiration for Derpy, even being voiced by the same person.

Minty was always my favorite, when I was younger and still today. I would watch it whenever christmas time came, and sometimes when it wasn't because I loved the movie. G3 deserves more love, I really wish I still had the minty christmas dvd..

Out of all the mlp G3 films. "A Very Minty Christmas" is honestly one of the few most decent ones, at least in my opinion i mean sure it has it's ups and downs like all the Gen 3 movies do but it's still a good one to watch!

I have never watched this particular movie, but old generations have always been really comforting for me to watch. The writting isnt good everywhere, but who really cares. Ponies are just something sweet and nice and naive to watch during hard times.

I never saw this movie, but a lot of the dvds I had as a kid had the commercial for it at the beginning of them, so I saw that preview TONS of times over. So it's still nostalgic for me despite having never seen it haha. I guess I should actually go ahead and watch it one of these days because all I remember is watching the preview over and over and being like "damn that looks so good I need to actually find a way to see it"

Yes! I loved this movie so much when I was younger, so excited to see this video! The G3 art style is pretty uncanny valley after getting so used to the G4, but I’ll always have a nostalgia for it. I love the fluid hair animation too. The only comment I have to make is that Thistle Whistle was one of my favorites as a child because I’m on the spectrum and I have stim words/phrases which her whistling reminded me of, but I agree when rewatching this movie as an adult it gets very tiresome. Maybe kid me was just a sucker for Pegasi and whistling... Also this thumbnail art is adorable!

A Very Minty Christmas was probably one of the first things that really got me into MLP as a kid, and honestly, looking back at some of the G3 movies they were pretty harmless. They’re obviously not the best pieces of cinema (as is also the case with some G4 stuff, but everything has its own flaws) nor are they the disaster that a lot of MLP fans see them as. They’re just cute movies to watch and enjoy!

yooo this is literally what triggered me diving back into mlp after all these years. i’m not too close with my dad (my only parent), yet when mlp got brought up with family a few weeks back he still remembered my favorite pony when i was a kid was minty 🥺 made a lot of memories pop back for me so i rewatched the movie and have kinda been binging vids like your other vids since then (i grew up on g3 stuff but then later was also into g4) excuse the rambling, i just have a lot of family issues and a not-great childhood so, i guess this obscure pony movie kinda means a lot to me in a weird way

This is the previous mlp gen I’ve ever seen personally (cartoon wise, I used to play the pc games and had some toys). My uncle heard me talking about MLP and went to the store and rented this movie for me, even though it wasn’t g4 I still appreciated it and we watched it together. Watching this is a huge nostalgia trip; got this movie on DVD for christmas when it came out (I remember the old commercials for it and while I had mlp toys this was really the first piece of media that caught me and I BEGGED to get it) and it's such a good memory; Minty is still my favorite G3 character to this day.
