It definitely creates users, I don't think it creates addicts. Most people are perfectly capable of only occasionally (or never) using substances like drugs and alcohol. Addicts are usually self-medicating to treat some kind of trauma, mental illness, social isolation, etc.

Check out the reykjavik confessions. Police kept people in solitary for hundreds of days untill they confessed to crimes that they probably didn't commit. In fact, there probably wasn't even a crime committed, two people with the same last name just when missing within a month of each other and the police tried to blame it on weed dealers

Go work in a correctional facility for 3 months and then come back here. COs are honest professionals working extremely hard. Solitary confinement is used when inmates are repeatedly violent to all human life within their space. It's to protect inmates, COs and other prison workers. If you don't put someone in solitary confinement who is physically violent and somebody gets injured or dies, it is absolute negligence and the victims rightfully deserve compensation, but why let it get that far? It's all just logic and reason.

Except the second woman is not "against" breastfeeding, she's simply against breastfeeding in public. So the two sides you're talking about aren't really mutually exclusive. If anything, the video shows that both sides are *right*, because both breastfeeding and baby formula are positive under the right circumstances.

The news focuses on all the action stories of people entering the country through trucks and trains and sneaky action movie plots. But they don't cover the more typical way of entering which is just to continue living past their visa. The American healthcare system is definitely not considered the best in the world. Who told you that? The high survival rates and lifesaving equipment and the "much more advanced" system is literally just modern Western medicine. Countries like Canada and the UK have the same types of system with far more practical healthcare costs. I don't know how you're determining "The greatest" but I would assume a large part of that would be pricing. And for that, America is no where near the greatest. Christopher Columbus did not directly lead the age of discovery. One man can not start the great thing known as human curiosity. People have been travelling and discovering for centuries. He just happened to set sail at a time when technology allowed for more travel. And in no way did she "shape the geopolitical landscape" unless you're talking about the decimation of tribes. Geopolitical means the politics based on surrounding geography. He did nothing for that. Lastly, guns laws are not racist but the people who created them and "enforce" them are racist. Laws are supposed to keep crime low but corrupt and cowardly politicans and cops choose to use those laws as backing for racist actions like killing innocent black people. And while the Black Panthers sure did a lot of terrible stuff, so did the police.

Basically if you're between 19 and 64 and do not have insurance through any other means, you will almost undoubtedly qualify for reduced cost if not free depending on your situation. If you're under 19, your parents have options for free coverage. Unless you're making 4x the poverty wage in your area or are an illegal immigrant, you should qualify for it to some degree. Even entry level jobs tend to have insurance benefits. People tend to decline them because of cost, but it's still cheaper than the taxes we'd pay with universal healthcare options. Even in these situations, the government provides low cost alternatives. A study done in 2018 suggests that very few uninsured people ever explored government provided options and most would have qualified for affordable or free healthcare.

I base my prices off of what my customers can afford. All of my customers are getting subsidies from the government to give them healthcare, which means they can afford anything, which means I can charge anything, so I'm going to charge an insanely high amount. Now imagine that suddenly the government STOPPED supporting people entirely. The first thing that happens is that 60% of the population (if not more) can no longer afford my services. Since the absolute majority of the population can't afford it, I'm required to reduce the cost if I want to stay in business at all. Cost (when the government isn't involved) is based on availability, customer want, and customer wealth.

On the breastfeeding one, I can 100% confirm. With my oldest sister, she wouldn’t latch on to our mother, with my other older sister, my mom had suffered from Gestational Diabetes and so the medications she was on to fix her blood sugars meant it wasn’t safe for my sister to be breastfed (also she later turned out to be Lactose intolerant, so she’d be unable to breastfeed either way). I actually was breast fed for the first 6 weeks, but after my mom was forced to go back to work (due to the fact that she was the bread earner, not my dad) her milk ducts seemed to just dry up completely, so I had to go on formula. And with my little sister, my mom just decided due to the fact she still had to work that she would formula feed right off the bat, because my dad at this point was a master at preparing formula, so she could leave my sister in his care with no worries whilst she continued to work. Also, to add context to the story, whilst I am English by Nationality and current residence, I was born in Illinois, alongside my sisters. So my mom didn’t have paid maternity leave.

In a way he did, but is truth that he didn't know, that he thought he had reached India. His own navigation diary is there to prove it. The guy that is attributed with realizing this new land was a new continent was Américo Vespucio (hence the name "America"). I feel your pain, I'm also correcting this mistake all the time repeating in comments and in social media like a maniac "America is a continent not just the United States of America". It'd honestly be cool if he did a whole episode about common misconceptions of mental disorders and their dark history...like lobotomies. For autism, I would rather he focus on the less hot-button, overblown topic of vaccines and autism that has been proven incorrect time and again, and do one that focuses more on autism itself and how autism isn't an on/off issue that it's commonly portrayed as. There are varying degrees to it that only now the medical field is finally catching up with, and it affects far more people than you'd think. Think about different levels of how lazy people can be. You can be slightly lazy about some things, like getting out of bed, but in most things you are not. Would this one thing label you as being Lazy? Not really, but this is how autism actually affects people, in varying degrees, and it's often viewed as a life-ending mental disability, which in severe cases it can be, but most common cases it's manageable.

what people don’t understand about global warming is that it’s not evenly distributed - polar areas get hit much worse, so an average +2c worldwide can mean an average +5-10c in specific areas, the areas which happen to be most vulnerable. I also agree that weed isnt a gateway drug. Weed was the first drug I ever tried. I thought it was alright, but I wanted more. Notice what I said there; "I" wanted more. Weed isnt a gateway drug, it's simply a coincidence that some people who try weed also try other drugs, and get hooked. It's people who get addicted, it's not the drugs fault. People make the choice to do drugs. I was never pressured to do drugs, I wanted to do them, and I did.

Well if you ask me, that's most likely the smartest and safest way to handle millions of immigrants at a time. How else are you going to keep them from crossing illegally? And its not humane cause they aren't concentration camps. Is everyone there dieing? Nope. Is there equal treatment? Yep. And do they get to cross the border legally after they check everyone out? Yessir.

@@Rod3ntRat I agree with you half way, but they are kind-of concentration camps if people are being locked up and separated from their parents. One person was a U.S. citizen, had his social security number, all his ID and everything and was told "no those are fake." After 6 months, they finally found out that he was a citizen and now he's sueing.
