@@WhiteDevil-he3ei So explain me what is the difference between old and medieval..
@WhiteDevil-he3ei4 жыл бұрын
@@nikhilpathania5750 firstly it's not old, it's ancient. The Sanatan Dharm's customs and traditions started to degrade as the muslim rulers had started to come to India. The world's one of the oldest university, Nalanda university was destructed during the time of Alauddin Khilji (during medieval period). The Somnath temple, one of the finest temples in the world was a centre for loot of Mahmud of Ghazni (during the early medieval period). I can give you a hundred more examples of how Bharat started to degrade during the medieval age. During the ancient period the followers of Sanatan Dharm had done wonders which the world couldn't even imagine, the first civilization of the world, the Harappan civilization. The first surgical treatment was performed in Bharat by Rishi Sushruta. That's why respect your culture of Sanatan Dharm not the cultures which teaches it's followers to behead the non-believers of their religion or with people who wait for a fat man (no offense intended at all) to run down the sky with Reindeers bringing you gifts with Sanatan Dharm. That's all for now. I hope you understood my point.

Modern day education is to create slave workers. Gurukul education is about inner knowing and to know you are already a boss. Modern day education what we learn is not needed for a practical life. Man is a spiritual being and that is what gurukal system teach us. Modern day education teach man is a social animal. Elon musk created a school to teach his own kids and billlioners know they dont their kids brain to be programmed like a worker waiting for command to do things. In this ancient system, the student was given knowledge and TAUGHT how to apply it. In the educational system(s) today, the students are INSTRUCTED on What to think withe very little on its application which it is only Dats but not Knowledge. In the old system, there were Teachers who found ways to help the student understand what had to be learned while, in the 'new' system, students are given information and, basically, left on their own to understand what was presented. Without understanding, Information is only Data, In order for it to become Knowledge, the Student has learn how to apply that information, and without being Taught Life Skills, they have not learned how to benefit or contribute from or to their Society. This was such a perfect system of education. It not only gave the students correct knowledge but also a correct mindset. Staying in a Gurukul enforced a kind of amazing discipline in students where they learned to focus on education and conservation of environment rather than money, drugs, bf-gf culture like today. It taught the students to look inside them for inspiration and approval, while also teaching them everything today’s education system fails to. Spiritual Meditation and Yoga was a part of this lifestyle, and all the other good habits (waking up early, respecting elders & teachers, practising cleanliness, etc.) they would develop in such a young fragile age would stay with them forever. Truly raising people with ethical and morally sound mindsets, unlike today’s education which only makes students dumb, disrespectful and go to disgusting lengths just to feel appreciated and loved.

Actually, you are missing the most important thing about the Ancient education system. That is the Ancient people knew about 'Samsara', and Karma. Their education was mainly to help to develop the student's mind to overcome the ignorance. The development of the mind through various methods including insight meditation for advanced students was taught with a purpose. It was highly civilised there were no slaves, people were free to do what they want, that was why there were so many religions, everybody was looking to be liberated from 'Samsara'. They knew we are all part of nature, and that is why we were taught to respect the environment. Reason for High morals and ethical living was also helped to develop wholesome thought, which helped to live in harmony within communities. There was no need for law and order, the living system had its own code of ethics, taught right and wrong, good and bad, respect the elders, worship Gurus and religious leaders and everyone older to you, that is a sort of training to be humble. Honesty was highly rewarded, living in the ancient time was so peaceful. Values were not money or material things, it was High Morals, knowledge, caring for others, Ancient education was all about living with nature in peace and harmony. They knew nothing is permanent in the cosmos. India never invaded other nations, they were the most civilised people on earth. I am a Sri Lankan and I love to live the way the ancient Indians lived.

Gurukul establishes a bond in an act of seeking. While today, it feels more like a job where most want time to pass. Its not tenable. No excitement, no will power to seek. This leads to no respect for teacher either. More like formality. I have come across teachers who are capable to establish bond with students but they are very few. Students should be more discussed with, about Career opportunities and what it contains. A wrong decision makes your 4-5 years of college useless. And you end up doing, exactly not what you studied. Schools should stop being a Church where it demands submission, rather become a place of personality and intellectual growth.

This is the best education system of an idealistic world. Obeisances to our sages for designing it. Tried to send my kid to a Gurukul, but faced immense resistances from my family members. Anyway, it would be tricky to implement something like this (ISKCON has few, Varanasi and few other places have some) as the external socioeconomic systems are incongruent with this spiritually focused education system. And its not just India. Education systems across the world are forcing students to participate in the rat race. Highly competitive education systems with no or little spiritual development is good for rich / nobles / rulers as it discourage "critical thinking". You may be a greedy Nephrologist with highest marks obtained in medical college, but you may completely lack empathy, compassion and other spiritual/humanitarian qualities. You may be a Economics PhD, but doesn't understand how money is created and how "trickle down" effect didn't work. Once you eradicate "critical thinking", its easier to rule people, brainwash people, sell them anything - holy grail of modern industrial capitalism. Many people watching this great video may not be aware that, Vedic societies were essentially decentralised at village level. Our Panchayat system is a relic of that. Kings had their kingdoms, but a lot of people were able to stay away from city-boundaries, being self-sovereign empowered by farming and self-managed conflict resolution. In such a context, Gurukul system flourished. Yes, kings sent their kids too, but that was mostly driven by moral values. What we today have (more in western and India as it is being urbanised at rapid rate) is a pyramidal system, where few rulers (not elected ones, but shadow capitalists at back; look at wealth inequality charts) rule vast majority of citizens pitching them against each other in the name of aspiration and competition. Gurukuls can't thrive in such a context. Students who would come out of such Gurukuls, will find it very hard to adjust back to the mainstream after their studies. What we need is an awareness, knowledge how we can build self-sovereign (permaculture/ economics / conflict-resolution / spiritual values etc.) communities with little or no reliance on government. In West such movements have started a while back with Bitcoin (it's not a scam; its an effort to take back control of money from governments and capitalists), moving back to Yoga/Ayurveda as opposed to organised medical systems, with concept of Private Cities, with decentralised governance technologies.

I will build a Similar kind of Gurukul school in modern where there will be no rank system as well as wide spread of difference class of activities situated. Student themselves will find their interest and will go ahead in that direction. In upcoming years. Har Har Mahadev

Avoid creating any kind of class. you can categorise different field of subjects and learned of the subjects. just don't create cany hierarchy up and down, high-low things.

@@manthanmaitra3839 Conversion to Christianity ??? 😂😂 Where did that come from? Every religion has its problems. I was just telling you the problems in our religion. The malpractices in our society. This video claims that education was free for all. That is absolutely not true !!! Education was free for upper castes while Shudras had no right to education.
@ritwiklakhanpal79354 жыл бұрын
@@manthanmaitra3839 What context do conversions have in this video? We are talking about the fact that shudras had no right to education. A vaishya could not marry a brahmin. Which is true even today by the way.
@ritwiklakhanpal79354 жыл бұрын
@@manthanmaitra3839 Shudras were not allowed to enter a gurukul. Forget about getting any education. They did not even have the basic human rights. It's written in vedas that upper castes should not marry lower castes. And this malpractice is still relevant in India. You and me are Hindus bhai and this video is about Hinduism. So, let's talk about Hinduism. I never claimed that Christian and Islamic worlds are utopias. This video was about gurukul system being great, which is not true. At least today, even shudras can go to schools and study. Although, there have been cases in government schools, where the children from lower castes have been discriminated badly. And if we are not a casteist society, then go and ask your parents, their thoughts on bringing a "BAHU" from lower caste.
@ritwiklakhanpal79354 жыл бұрын
@@manthanmaitra3839 So, you claim that there is no suffering because of caste system. Drona did not allow Karna either to enter the gurukul because he was from a lower caste. (unknown to Drona that he actually was not). In many places, shudras are not even allowed to enter the temples even today. Don't deny it. Most of the people working in gutters are Shudras. Go check the statistics. Just explain me this. Today brahmins and kashatriyas are upper castes. Vaishyas and Shudras are lower castes. Why this difference? I challenge you. Go ask your parents about their views on inter-caste marriage. Every year, thousand of couples are killed when they dare defy this stupid, conservative system.

That is myth you have been brainwashed with all these years by western christianised anti-hindu education system. this is exactly what they wanted you to think and blame your own civiliation instead of respecting it. truth is, even a barberien bandit like Valmiki was able to educate, transform and become a great sage who became guru of Sri Rama's sons. so the equality, caste, high, low nonsense stereotypes are engineered recently to brainwash you. and even women received education srikhandi was a women in Mahabharata war. the Dasaratha father of Sri Rama meet his wife on battlefield. how was she skilled in Ayurveda life sciences by which she saved his life? if not educated? get rid of these modern brainwashings and hate and doubt against your own culture.

Ancient gurukul system denied education to poor people, tribal people and created imbalance in the society. For any Nation s progress, education should be given to all citizens of the country and education should not be limited to particular class of people..
