Yeah bro even I saw it and literally I got scared seeing such answers on Quora saying - "It's bad, it's not even in NIRF rankings" "The professors are bad and arrogant" "There is a lot of ragging, the administration is not good, the professors will give you just above average marks even if you are the top performer and people won't even ask you for jobs or PhDs because they would rather pick up state college normal Bsc guys instead of Int. MSC in NISER" I legit got scared reading these things... I did read a reputable IISER Alumni's answer on this (Anshuman Acharya) and he did counter those But I am still scared while I am also not scared 💀 While on one hand NISER students just like IISERites do get into PhD's in foreign colleges, but then there are also answers saying "you won't even get time for anything else, you just need to study" And yeah NISER does seem RIGID (the fees and scholarship is nice though, also campus area is big, but then there are so many negative reviews) I am literally confused too because of this Why is there so much hate for NISER on Quora btw? I legit saw the stuff (and well Modi ji might not have gone to many IISERs, he had atleast come to NISER... IISER Pune stands as an exception) So NISER "does" seem reputable (it is indeed ranked, but under Homi Bhabha National Institute - HBNI) Still I am scared due to those negative reviews Like reviews written for IISER Pune and NISER Bhubaneswar are like totally 180 degree opposites in terms of student life and cultural Atmosphere They say there's ragging in NISER... But well NISER's NEST exam is actually very tough compared to even IAT of IISERs I am legit confused as many things seem bad and many as good But I do feel many BAD REVIEWS are over-exaggerated

First, congratulations on making it to NISER. Second, there are many, actually so many people like you at NISER, it will not be a big problem for you. I do not think this should be a reason for anyone to quit NISER after all the efforts your have put in to qualify, and your have already proved it by qualifying the cutoff marks for maths section as well.

You have very good chance of getting to NISER, and very less to get a good Medical college. but if you come to NISER, you will not be able to prepare for NEET at all. And year NEET competition will be higher, so your choice.

Less money, less fame, more challenges in general MBBS- if you do.good, a lot of money, living material life...I don't know much about this. It is fine. You can check the profile of various prof at chemistry department. I am in chemistry. NISER Is famous for physics, and iiser Bhopal is famous for chemistry. But at NISER also chemistry Is good but it is under development. Like there is no dedicated lan for nanochemistry....
