Such indoctrination originates from religion. Many were indoctrinated to believe only their god takes them to heaven and the rest non-believers are unworthy beings condemned to the eternal flame of fire burning. These were the biggest lies many would discover the truth is never what they were indoctrinated.

@@dmar1717 Nope, you get it wrong. It is not China wanting WTO to recognize it as a developing nation. It is up to the WTO to decide whether a country is developing or developed. Whether a country gets preferential is up to its trade partners. For example, China recently gave least developed countries zero tariffs treatment, the only country to do so. Other countries have their own tariffs status for these nations.

I've visited China four times (different regions each time) and none of my co-workers or family in America believe me when I say the streets and public parks there are cleaner looking than what we have in the US. They think I've been shown around a fake town to take pictures and videos of... even though I tell them I was free to walk around unescorted. People in America want to believe what they read in the news about China. They make ignorant comments like "the poorest Americans live better lives than the average Chinese". People here talk as though they are "China experts" and yet has never visited the country once.

A year and a half ago, I met a young American couple in long distance coach travelling from South Thailand to Bangkok. They have just graduated for college and it is their first time traveling in Asia. We have quite a long casual and friendly conversations all the way to Bangkok. They have flown from U.S. to Singapore, traveled to Malaysia, Thailand and going to Cambodia then to Vietnam. They said to me that Vietnam will be their final country before flying back to U.S. I then asked them since they are so near to China why not visit China too. I have told China have a lot more to see. I was surprised with what they have told me about China. They told me they will told not go to China. They were told by the media and warned by their government that China is very dangerous for foreigner visitors. Chinese police detain foreigners for no reason and detain for months or even years. China is dirty, not safe even in board daylight, robbery is common, public transportation is backward, Chinese are very unfriendly and won't help foreigners visiting China. Then when we have arrived in Bangkok I wish them good luck and be careful when traveling. They said they are careful and said these countries they are visiting is far safer than China. I was so surprised how navie they are. And how much they were lied by their media and government.

I have the privilege of being a frequent visitor to China since 1986...and each time I visited China, the country never fails to amaze me with its progress and improvement. The Chinese government actually posted admonitions on public sites like tourist attractions, some hotels , to remind it's citizens to be civic conscious to uphold civility as well as to respect their environment ...these posters is an eye opener for me, it tells me that Chinese leaders want the best for their people 🌻🙏.

China hired many teachers and professionals in the 1980s and onwards to teach. Chinese built their roads, highways, bridges, and new cities emulating western styles. Chinese old and ancient style building can’t be used to built 100 story so they adapted to western design. As for technology, China relied on Western intellectual properties to modernize their country. Will they have original meaningful inventions, discoveries, breakthroughs, and related byproducts in the future maybe they will. There is plenty of opportunity up ahead on earth and beyond where space domain is widely open. China can build satellite space colony or colonize mars, mine nearby asteroids, lunar, and planets. Infinite resources in space are waiting. On the competitors, USA companies have started to do studies in mining nearby asteroids, there China can potentially be ahead of the game. Then, China gave permission to western companies and institutions to invest until they started leaving when their bottom line is affected by Chinese style competitions and left for Mexico, India, other Asian countries, and Europe. There are still many western companies still operating in China. As for tourists, China doesn’t need foreign tourists, their pool of tourists from a billion population can travel from cities to cities as tourists.
