The governments policy of encouraging illegal immigration is also increasingly irritating especially when they want to negate Englishness and to make other cultures dominant. Being treated as a second class citizen in favor of illegal immigrants. Our winter fuel allowance ripped away to fund those who have barged into our country. One last moan, when I turned eighty, my pension was increased by 25p. I consider this to be an insult, it won’t even pay for the use of a public toilet! It is rare that I disagree with Simon, but on this occasion I do so. It is not the closure of shops on the high street, it is not the shutting down of pubs, it is not that nothing at all can be done without tapping on a computer keyboard - or any such matter. It is the attack on and the loss of our English culture. The tolerant, friendly and sometimes eccentric social structure which seemed to flourish without any rules or regulations. That is what old people are angry about. losing. Old people believe, quite rightly, that this culture would be of immeasurable benefit to future generations - but it is being brutally killed off. We have failed in our historic duty to our ancestors and to our children.
