Damn I love nature. Just because animals don't communicate like us or do things like we do doesn't mean they aren't intelligent. They just have a different life with different priorities.
@KErwin-vl6dy

Animals live by instinct, especially simple ones with small brains including fish, etc. They are nature's gift to us more complex beings. But you are right, they are built upon a different priority in this world, and that is to keep multiplying and contribute to the food chain.

Grunion run during daylight hours! Where on Earth does this occur (I did not hear the narrator mention a location)? Grunion spawning season happens along the coast of Southern California, too, but can only be witnessed at night. Nearing midnight twice a month (new moon and full moon) from March to August, the grunion wriggle ashore by the thousands to mate, using the highest tides of the month to deposit eggs (and fertilize them) in the sand as far ashore as possible. This BBC video is the first time I have seen the grunion spawn in daylight.

The "magic" of nature. We are so blessed to have creatures like these that is also a source of food for us humans and other animals to survive. I hope this will continue on for the next multiple generations to come.

@ME.N.
@ME.N. 2 жыл бұрын
@PharoTalon i have logical understanding of them but i grant that im not a fulltime-scientist ;) Let me tell you just this, god is not an old human being with a lot of power. Of course we as humans try to imagine god in ways that corresponds with what we know and what we can see with our eyes. No, god is spirit, god is eternal in every way and since we live in the world he created we can not describe or even imagine him in a proper way. The bible is just the way he chose to reveal himself to us.

That is an incredible scene. Those fish formed a strange habit of mating and laying eggs. They are fish. Why do they have to beach themselves to mate but not in the water? Ocean birds have a great chance to feast on them. Truly amazing nature.
