Well, that does not always guarantee you are trouble free... example if car is consuming oil low compression wont show on the scan, a bad bearing wont show, sometimes you can have something knocking in the engine and goes away. You can buy a used car scan it trouble free drive it 3 4 weeks and anything can fail...

@@ECPPWhat do you think is a problem with an F series from about 2010 when you have ISTA + on your laptop? Furthermore you can't get such a problem that someone hasn't already made a video about. BMW is quite good maybe perfect for DIYers. At least many cars don't have corrosion problems even after 20 years.

Used to have a BMW 335i so many leaks in 2014. I had bumper to bumper warranty at the time. But it left me stranded so many times I traded it for accord and never looked back. Right now used car markets are crazy still I saw a used corolla more expensive than a new one lol.

fist i had an e46 from 2001 with the the 2.2 engine, that was a good car ,not any big problems at all. Then had an early x5 4.4 no turbo ,nothing but a big money pit, what killed it was the chain guides ,that meant engine out and it would cost me 10000 bucks to get it fixed,so no more BMW for me.

In Sweden there is a BMW X3/F25 30d (diesel, 190 kW/258 hp, 560 Nm) 2017 (made about half a year before model change) with 50,000 km for sale for a little bit less than 30,000 euro. The car has almost all available options 2017! I'm not quite aware of the price when it was new, but I think the price of the options, a number of packages, were 15,000 euro. I think this is a very good price and the car is unique, but there are of course no warranties at all, only (in Sweden) insurances for engine and drive train, normally 10 years or 150,000 km. I'm a "little bit" interested, but in another five years the value is about 8,000 euro, with 100,000 km (I don't need(!) to drive much each year.). On the other hand, here also prices seem to have risen during the last year. Maybe a little more than the inflation that means 10-20 %. Now you can't find any X3/F25 (2011-) 30d under 8,5-9,000 euro regardless of milage or up to 270,000 km.

I got into a fender bender and received 5K back and taken 950$ out of that to buy a 2011 E93 that was in a airplane hanger and the car looks soooo clean and well kept. The guy couldn't get his car running it's been down for 3yrs. I took it home and kept messing around with the car trying to find out why is it not starting then I found the issue. I replace the Eccentric Shaft Sensor and BOOM it started right up first time in almost 4yrs! The car is worth 9K so I may flip the car

I am shopping for older euros currently, in your opinion, would you go for a 2011 328i x drive or a 2010 535i both are higher mileage. Both are the touring (wagon) 535i has the m sport, has had fuel filter and pump as well as water pump and valve cover gaskets done. 328 is higher price Edit: there's also an 09 A4 2.0 similar price and kms.

Because they, like Audi, are crap! Take it from somebody who has leased both, but AUDI gets the head's up for CRAP! What is truly sad, both are such good-looking vehicles, with nice interiors, but I am through with the Germans. That said, bought a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4xe three months ago and haven't looked back. If you have to have a German car, LEASE IT for 36 months while the warranty is still in effect.

when you intentionally build cars to fall apart shortly after warrenty, they may be cheap to buy, its keeping them going that is a money pit.why else do you think rich people get rid of them shortly after warrenty? because even rich folks know they are money pits when the OWNER must pay all the constant repair bills after warrwnty expires.its like buying a toilet that has a slot in it, where you insert a hundred dollar bill BEFORE the seat will open up to allow you to do your business.the sad part is when you flush it, your hundred dollar bill goes down the sewer too.

Said it before, I'll say it again; anyone who can actually afford a BMW would not go near one. Or the more pretentious of the lot with only a limited amount of slush money would lease for three years and trade it in (hopefully for a Lexus) before the 4 yr/50k BMW factory warranty expires and the turbo melts the engine like Gumby on the end of fire hot poker. So, a sucker who buys a 3 year off lease gets one more year of factory coverage, only if the car has less than 50K on the odo. Guaranteed, they will be sitting in the service dept waiting room long before they hit 50K miles.
