Its because people have started taking more margins on A2 ghee, we started believing that it should be costly. We farmers were selling milk to amul like companies at Only 30 rs rite previously. Companies dont know what is a2. They just need FAT. NOW check the below mentioned lines which i m going to write. HOW we make it. Its a simple calculation. 26-28ltr of cow milk is required to make 1 ltr ghee. At our place, milk is sold to big companies at rates around 30-32 per ltr. Instead of giving them, we make ghee. Cause in our small city no one knows what is A2. So they dont give higer rates. Just mutiply . 27 x 30 comes to 810₹. We dont use machines or electricity. So we are able to make it using less capital. Around 24 ltr of butter milk is left which is separately sold at minimum 30₹ a ltr. Add 100 or 150 more in labour cost or packaging and we are left with good margins. Other Gaushaala/Brands won't tell u this. If not sold then we use the buttermilk in making Daliya for our heifers for good growth. This reduces our other costing of farm. If we are are selling only 40-50 ltr ghee, there is no use. So what we do is we sell in quantity to generate more margins on every product. We can easily put pricing of 1500 but we need to understand that the benifits of A2 product should be given to all. Not every1 is able to buy high price Ghee. Its our belief that we have to give all the people the option to buy good product at reasonable price.
