A thing to note about the Blackbeard vs Law fight is that the only reason Law even managed to hit Blackbeard with the Shock Willie is because BB rode in on Stronger and Doc Q. He didn't know Law could use his DFs Room from a distance because he didn't know Law was Awakened. Then he fell through the sky and Law hit him midair. But if this was a neutral 1v1 on the ground then Law would have most likely been packed up like just like Kid got packed by Shanks. Not saying BB would have speed blitzed Law. But Law would have clashed with BB and then Blackbeard just takes away his fruit and nails him with a Gura-Gura attack. Which is basically what happened in the original as soon as BB and Law clashed directly.

@@mahirsharma7789 I went to far with that comment, apologies. A character like BB having conquerors would make sense, as he displays great ambition throughout the entire story. It would fall back on to him having multiple df, each soul having a proficiency with one different type. His actions of taking decisive acts to most efficiently further his own empire, in contrast to Luffy, who would beat everyone who gets in his way. With the way BB was introduced, being a stark contrast to Luffy, as everyone points out. Even his actions throughout the story, mirror Luffys action. He is no coward, he is a king with conquers haki.

It was brilliant for the writers to make Blackbeard come off as weak and cowardly because it puts him in the back of the readers minds for when he finally becomes THE villain. Also i love how his inability to sleep forces him to live out his dreams in real life, because he can't do so in his sleep, thus giving him the incredible level of ambition he has.

My thoughts exactly - Shanks is clearly not scared of Blackbeard in the sense that Usopp would be, he strikes me as being more concerned about what Teach is capable of and has always been anxious that Teach is taken more lightly than he should be. In other words, I think it's clear that Shanks knows enough about him to realise the threat he poses to the future of the world.

I mean, he did became a Younko, get a whole exe Wleet Wadmiral candidate as his henchmen, made Looking D East run from his base as a fraud he is(I guess pre timeskip Smoker was his maximum), mid diffed Law, his other half of the crew popsicled Garp and finnaly he gained a whole Gorosai doppelganger! 🗣️

Just a minor note but Blackbeard doesn’t take double the damage, he feels double the pain. That’s why even gear two Luffy can punch BB and he’ll scream in pain but not sustain any notable damage.

Imu is def the final villian and it will be about luffy completing the prophecy and luffy flexing his godliness. But Blackbeard will be the final major wall. If I had to compare him I’d say he has similar impact to Madara. At the end of the day luffys fight with Blackbeard is gonna be dependent on haki, so expect some crazy haki feats that have never been seen even in Roger and joyboy’s time. Idk if Koby is ready to stand with luffy in battle yet but I expect him to be there to mirror Roger and Garp Vs Rocks

Shanks is going to have to be a part of his defeat. With BBs ability to nullify devil fruits, shanks' entire crew being fruitless is a major advantage. He and Luffy having to team up against the ultimate threat makes sense to me. Dragon needs to be a part of Imu's downfall and Shanks should be a part of BBs downfall.

I like Blackbeard more than Eustass Kidd because unlike kidd he knows who to pick fights with, remember when he goes for Ace he knew ace is way too reliant on his Devil Fruit as well as Law and the reason why he backed down on Marineford it is because of Shanks whom he knew he would have a disadvantage with his Mastery of Haki which he cant utilize his Yami Yami no mi and lastly the Difference between kidd and blackbeard he knows when to fight , retreat and strategize without putting too much risks and he's willing to put down his Ego for his own goal a true definition of a Pirate while Kidd is just aggressive and has alot of Ego that he wouldn't consider the risk it will bring to himself and his Crew and he never even bothered mastering haki before Arriving to the New World let alone use it on his fight with Shanks

While Blackbeard is going to be an endgame villain... Right now, no top tier fears him. Shanks is concern about Blackbeard's antics and trickery. Not because of his current power. Blackbeard ran away from Akainu... The same guy who fought a sick Whitebeard on Marineford and got his butt whooped. So far, Blackbeard is currently at Admiral level. We haven't seen Blackbeard fought a Yonko level character and even Aokiji would intimidate him before joining his crew.

Shanks challenged him and everyone in marineford, and he also went to wano to look for Blackbeard. I believe thats what Shanks has been doing all along looking for Blackbeard. Shanks fought in equal terms with Mihawk that there battles were said to be legendary, yet blackbeard was struggling with mere clone of Mihawk.
