After 30 years of following his work, Frank F still has this remarkable ability to tell you what you already knew, but didn't know, so to speak. He assimilates the trends we're all living through and reflects them back to us with a coherence most of us have been frantically rummaging around to pin down. An intellectual worthy of the name.

Over 80 years ago, the UK faced another culture war that threatened freedom and democracy. Luckily we had a proper leader who motivated everybody to resist that dangerous ideology and fight back. Priority number one is to find such a leader today!

Brilliant discussion, thank you. It's good to know where the fight will take place. We can't protect the past and it's borders without also being sensitive to where these backward year zero people are are erecting their new borders and boundaries.

Without secure borders and the rule of law and a population sharing generally similar values as expressed by a constitution, bill of rights or a common faith* - democracy and the general welfare of the population ends. If that sounds like right wing propaganda simply read Nathan Sharansky, Alexsander Solzenitsyn, or any other similarly competent and coherent writer who survived communism and fascism, Fidelism, Mugabe-ism et al, or any colonised population for that matter. These East European intellectuals - out of favour heroes - directly faced down, and theorised their way out of tyranny. The leftist muddle expressed by French 'Marxist' educated 'geniuses' like Pol Pot and Che Guevara et al. When I say muddle, I emphasise the blood and tyranny. Devious people - posing as humanitarians, champions of 'freedom' in drag - suppress these most obvious truths on every side - be it decrying politically difficult and unpalatable actions such as halting people smuggling into Australia, tackling terrorist states head on (i.e. military doing what military is designed to do), supporting Israel as they confront Hamas and Hezbollah (and those of that ilk. Russia, Iran etc) or reducing the threat from radical Islam by subjecting immigration from muslim majority countries to critical scrutiny. These measures are neither racist or xenophobic, they are common sense logic. The best way to judge any ideology is by the current behaviour of its most ardent, and impassioned acolytes. Not by its books, not by its legends, not by its proponents - judge it by the recent actions of its activist vanguard. Anyway, the mass of the population in the capitalist West and the new-capitalist, former Eastern bloc states are awakening. The 30 year, long, slow decline, social policy experiment (aka the social disaster - look around you!) which coupled with the neoliberal economic experiment around about 1980-84(crush unions, export jobs, enrich the few)is ending, perhaps too late. Now (surprise, surprise!) various of these so called 'liberals' are talking about restricting voting and free-speech or applying other elitist and non-democratic measures to stifle dissent. Second referendum anyone? Trump fan or not, these are extremely perilous times. Here I quote Morrissey: "stop watching the news! Because the news conspires to frighten you. To make you feel small and alone, To make you feel like your mind isn't your own." Feel free to quote me.

Another stimulating video from the NCF and an extraordinarily important discussion especially when the subject is considered in its geographical and historical context. For me at least it's a confirmation of what is happening and how so few are aware of the course of events. It's also a well argued and illustrative warning.

Historically if you look at UK's towns and cities boundaries are there, they are not shouted about: Football: Everton and Liverpool - Everton Catholic, Liverpool Protestant. Glasgow Rangers and Celtic - Rangers Protestant Celtic Catholic. Not too many years ago I met with a Glaswegian and his first question to me was do I like football? - "yes" Rangers or Celtic? he had some orange on so it was Celtic. I was in.

Our nations are our homes. We, our parents and our grandparents and earlier ancestors, have expended enormous amounts of time, effort and money to make our nations comfortable places for our children and our children's children to live and work in. Our national borders are the larger equivalent of the doors on our houses.

You cannot go to another country and change their culture, you have to adapt. As the saying goes, when you’re in Rome do as the Romans do. People are risking their lives t on dingy to go to Britain because of a better life. Then the BLM only whining and destroying the country if they hate Britain just leave. I agree with professor, children behaving like adults and adults behaving like kids. It’s a sad world we live in with no morals, respect and discipline. You cannot fix the past, you have to move forward. Living in the past will only make you miserable. They need to learn history to understand it. I agree it’s sheer anger and rage in this society. If the leaders don’t stand firm and do something it will be the end. The more you’re afraid of bullies the more power you are giving them.

Hey - Let 95% of the British population rise up against the Aristocracy demanding their land back that was taken due to the Enclosure Acts from the 1200's on. Especially beneficial to those that had fields around central London... The Surfs and Villains of the past have their progeny living today.

In the areas where people live communities evolve naturally mainly for reasons like security and these create sets of reasonable rules. These developments to evolve shared values come about. Again, quite naturally. And for such arrangements to function a high degree of shared values has to be present. It is accordingly acceptable to insist that immigrants adopt the existing culture. The idea of multiculturalism is unacceptable, as is the idea of free movement of people

Its very clear to me that kids are not "adultified". Quite the contrary. Kids are waiting longer and longer to leave home, get a job, get married and have kids. Now dont get me wrong in my case with my kids I'm good with that. My son is 12. He still plays with his legos. He has no thought in his mind to smoke cigarettes or do drugs, drink or have sex. When I was 12 I was already smoking drinking and doing drugs. It wasn't good in my case but I was far more developed at 12 then my son is. I think that experience is prevalent. In America I think.
@pedanticlady91264 жыл бұрын
Hmmm.... I thinks its rather more complicated. As a child growing up in my era we were very conscious that the adults were in charge, made the decisions and we fitted in around their lives. We were not the constant centre of attention. We were loved and cared for but allowed to develop outside of constant adult supervision and as part of the growing up process evolved adult awareness and responsibilities. My grandchildren's generation are growing up in a child centred environment. The adults centre their lives round the perceived needs of the children. Children experience very little non-adult supervision. This leads to a complicated vision by both the adults and children as to their roles relative to each other and to society more widely. The children grow up feeling entitled but have much less understanding and/or acceptance of adult responsibility. This lack of responsibility is extending childhood well into physical adulthood.

On the subject of not having borders . It seems to me that Trade depends on not having borders and customs dues . The Roman Empire at it's maximum had few borders for trade . A new Empire of globalist traders would look to past. Did the Austro Hungarian Empire have many internal borders. The Archbichop of Canterbury has a background in trade and banking so his views would necessarily be globalist. No doubt his adherence to the Anglican Church which is world wide also influences his thinking.
