Years ago one of my dad's friends who owned a small Chinese takeout restaurant, he upped his price and detered bad customers off. His revenue stayed about the same, but his profit margin was up and there was less work. Some people thought he was crazy for wanted to get rid of some of his customers.

Higher price items require a new set of selling skills, product knowledge and knowing how long it takes to finish per task helps. You need to become what is know as a flesh eating tiger, pounce on a client hard and roll them into a purchase.

Dan, Even Woolworth requires honorable mention since it was the epitome of the epic five and dime store, where everything costed 5 cents or 10 cents. This is where the Dollar Store chain took it's business model. Sam Walton also revamped the Woolworth model as well. Great video BTW!! Thank you!

@HENSLEYDMB5 жыл бұрын
Did you know, the cost of a whopper is .83cents. The cost of a big mac is .74 cents. The cost of a hard shell taco is .16 cents. So, fast food restaurants do have good margins. What they fail at is labor. Ever been in a McDonald's and seen 10 people just standing around?

@irfankhatri66373 жыл бұрын
People here in comments talk about hight ticket sales which is good but no one is talking about high ticket(product it self). First of all you can't just define high ticket sale with number e.g. $10000 lamborghini is cheap and not high ticket sale but $1000 bread is. Yes when the price of the product is high you get more profit but costumer also demands value. Most of the customers are not so fool who would pay insane amount for product which worths for penny. So don't fear to raise the profit margin but also make sure your product is delivering it's value for it's price. You don't need too much money for making high ticket products. There is a guy who makes chair from decent quality wood but spends weeks designing and refining his chairs. So it's the time and his experience what makes his product high ticket.

It is also better to have a bigger customer base because you can sell more products and services to the same customers. Thats why marketing people make money. They have a big list ofcustomers
@izhamrazizul94586 жыл бұрын
yes, we can do that but may need twice the effort and infrastructure to satisfy the demand to get the same profit.
@robp.77326 жыл бұрын
Izham Razizul that might be right but... who can gain muscles without without working out??? There’s tons of ways to make money... yes you can sell higher ticket once you have a good reputation and for that it’s gonna take you a good amount of time. So I would start by working with low ticket higher demand then jump to higher ticket. This video is for people who are making at least 100k or more.

I love Dan's sales videos but in this video he's basically doing maths that a 12 year old can do. $100 x 10,000 = 1m or $10,000 x 100 = 1m. Isn't that a little obvious? How many businesses can actually sell a $10,000 product though. I'm running a social media agency. Even though all my results are transparent on my Instagram. People still hesitate to spend £500/month
