Regarding Midwest rust: My family and I moved from Colorado to Wisconsin. Our then 8 year old minivan had no rust on it since CO doesn't really use salt on their roads. The first thing I did when we moved was take the car to be undercoated and rust proofed. The guy at the shop in WI that did the rustproofing was absolutely amazed that our 8 year old vehicle had no real rust on it. He showed me a 2 year old Chevy Silverado with huge rust holes in the body. Our van is now 14 years old and still has almost no rust on it even having been in the salty Midwest for the past 7 years. That rustproofing was the best $180 I ever spent.

One thing you'll learn about Porsches is that the owners aren't mileage weenies like other sports car owners. Actually, putting mileage on your Porsche is a badge of honor. Even Hoovie bought his 996 with over 250K miles on it before he blew up the motor at the track. That's why he called it the Apollo 911. It traveled a similar distance from the Earth to the Moon. Anyway.. Hoovie LS swapped his 996 and then blew up that motor too. Wizard installed the lousy conversion kit and they used an oil pan that didn't provide proper lubrication with the engine mounted backwards.

@rustler08 Жыл бұрын
That is incorrect, they absolutely cover Rivian repairs. They have figured out how to reduce the cost of the repairs, even though it's still approaching $30k to repair damage to the rear. But, these are also $80k+ cars at a minimum, so they're not handing out $80k instead of doing a $30k repair. That particular car was just fucked in multiple spots, so it wasn't worth the effort

Yes, the Dodge warranty would cover the entire Vehicle and YOUR HOUSE. That rivian was totaled because that rear quarter panel is not separate from the rest of the body, so to fix it you have to replace the entire thing.

EV's are almost always totaled unless the issue is VERY minor. They cost WAY too much to repair and anything major really has to be fixed by the manufacturer so yea, reason 1001 why EV's are total junk pipedream nonsense. Btw they are DESIGNED with 10 year lifespans for the batteries with replacements ranging from $6k-50k+ depending on the vehicle. apparently modern vehicles weren't already disposable enough so now they're building them to only last exactly 10 years, on purpose. Because everyone has $80-100k lying around to spend on a new EV vehicle every 10 years.

Do they treat bullet damage like Hail damage? Size, shape,how many broken windows, can the be pushed out, how much bondo will it take?

Why is that ute so rusty if it came from the 'mid-west'? Is it salt on the winter roads? Or has it just been left outside; but being midwest you would not have salty sea air ?

Looks like 9mm, at the right angle even thin steel would deflect and especially on the apex of that bend where the steel is much stronger

I bought 97 grand prix from an auction through a dealer that was in an ATF raid. 400 out the door. I got it delivered and discovered it had an Intense stage 3 cam and turbo kit on it with a Mahle pistons and excellent maintenance. The bullet holes were through the rear passenger door (it was originally a se model) and the back seat cushions were removed. This was September of 2000. The car once cleaned up and retuned was a FWD record holder on their KZbin page if anyone wants to see a rental car v6 look alike taking down everything under 8.78 ET on the 1/4 mile. I have no Idea what the person used it for before, but it must have been clandestine and expensive.

@LegitStreetCars Жыл бұрын
I don't think that was me. I've only bought 2 copart cars. The C4 and 5.9 Jeep. You may be thinking of another KZbinr
