Why Celestia Turned Evil [DAYBREAKER] (MLP Analysis)

I feel daybreaker is less jealousy and more pride. She was absolutely full of herself, even going as far as mocking nightmare moon’s tragic corruption as “we get it, you’re sad”. It seems what led her to break was indeed her not getting those personal connections, but what would really tick her off are things that would make her loose her composure and image, like an impulse outburst. It could be Luna not looking up to celestia or downplaying her duties. A more dramatic version of what happened in the episode. Luna spending all night to watch over dreams while sleeping at night while celestia has to do the hard royal work during the day. Their scheduling preventing each other from seeing how difficult each other’s lives are. And with no starlight glimmer or twilight to help, the anger of celestia boils inside her mind until she… snaps , engulfed in broken pride and burning hot anger, celestia confronts Luna and becomes daybreaker, seeing it as one up on her sister and those that didn’t pride in herself too much

I have a hint that since Starlight manages to use time travel and alter dimensions at such she could have ended up somewhere Where Celestia snaped and turned into Daybreaker to face Nightmare Moon/Luna without the use of the elements in the first place

I vehemently disagree with this idea of Daybreaker being a pure fabrication of Starlight Glimmer’s imagination, on the grounds that, when she goes to fight her, Celesta outright says “You will never be real again,” which strongly implies that at one point Daybreaker *was* real.

There's also the factor that Luna refers to her as Daybreaker despite having not heard her name once. Daybreaker said her name before Luna was even pulled into the dream, so how did Luna know her name then? She's had to have heard it or known about it prior.

We saw in the crystal empire episode (season 3) that Celestia knows dark magic, and even teaches it to Twilight. I think it's fair to say that the royal sisters' past is more complicated than most modern ponies know.

So I think could cause celestia to go rouge would be anxiety because she was introduced to big crowds of people while Luna had more time to warm up to being social if this were the case I would relate to celestia a lot more think about it she already has a bunch of important responsibility’s to keep pretty much everyone alive and well like rising and lowering the sun at the time she also has to teach others based of talent so she may have thoughts that she is being unfair by judging who can become royalty based off of ability they had when they were young everyone needs to specifically know about her and she could be the cause of other’s anxiety like in that one song twilight sparkle sings she is smart and talented but still fears celestia everyone chose her and Luna she did not chose herself she did not have the idea she may have been pushed into it and watches others become alicorns choosing to put in the effort for something they know is real and they can be given advice if they choose to do so celestia watches as they CHOOSE to become what she was forced to and everyone knew she would gain responsibility from giving her and Luna great power but did not know what it could do to her Great now I’m invested in celestia’s Anxiety something that is not even cannon

I was thinking,from a royal problem, what if the ponies liked it the other way around better and celestia was jealous of Luna because now the ponies think she the better sister.So that caused (nightmare noon)daybreaker to form,or Celestia starts getting less and less sleep so she get cranky at Luna and turns into daybreaker!

It’s kinda odd but it’s an inverse to the both of them and kinda showed that yes celestia did in fact needed that break If nightmare moon wanted love then daybreaker seemed to just want to watch the world burn, it makes sense given literally celestia not liking tea caused an uproar, she kinda lives a Superman ish life of stepping on eggshells unlike Luna who’s free in the dream world a bit.

This is a tiny theory I have I think celestia got jealous because Luna started to help pony's face their fears plus she can walk in dreams all she did was make pony's happy but she can't dream walk or help pony's face their fears so she became...DAYBREAKER!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so think about this (i just watched a vi6 on why princess lunas dark spot is on her flank) take a close look at daybreakers Flank, there is a dark spot on her flank. So what if just like luna, something maybe, not what luna did. But what if she had succumbed to darkness of her own fear and hatred which is exactly why luna changed, but thats just my theroy. Hatered and fear of what you may ask: Herself. Why? Well we all know she holds a heck of a lot of power even without the elements of harmony, she could be scared of what she could do if her magic got out of hoof. Interesting analysis. It's feasible that Luna didn't take care of dreams before or perhaps even found it to be a too demanding job with little recognition, and she didn't have enough maturity to carry it out. I agree that if Luna hadn't turned into Nightmare Moon, Celestia would have turned into Daybreaker, but not out of jealousy but out of arrogance. In the episode 'The Royal Problem,' it can be seen that Daybreaker is very arrogant, and my theory is that originally Celestia was too. All the adoration she received from the ponies got to her head and blinded her. That's why she didn't realize that Luna had problems, and if Luna hadn't been corrupted before, Celestia would have been. And after banishing Luna, all that adoration became a reminder of her biggest mistake, helping her mature and reducing a significant portion of her arrogance.

The basic story of what happened goes as follows (yes, you'll have to read a bit but this is a condensed version of the mountains of text they gave): A 15-year-old fan (a name I've seen is Ash) was a big fan of Sawtooth and made art and videos for him. He eventually saw them and thanked her for the art. They became friends, talking about MLP theories. He has done this with many fans and even featured some in collabs on his episodes. Eventually she confesses that she has a crush on Sawtooth (whom had just turned 19), making him feel awkward about their relationship and initially denying her feelings back. Some weeks later, the conversation came back again he came back with a "maybe if you were older" type comment which gave her hope in that they could be a couple when she was older but for now would just be friends. Over the next year or so, they would become much closer, talking more openly about things like mental health, family situations, et cetera. They were essentially online bf and gf but didn't do too much apart from roleplay and virtual hugs and kisses. Typical teenager stuff. Then her mother comes in, and she is quite abusive to Ash and threatens Sawtooth to stop talking to her. This is when both parties realised how serious this relationship could be. They didn't want to give up being friends but were willing to put themselves at distance. They would go weeks or even months without talking because of her mother's rules, but they did occasionally mail to each other (as they had done prior while sending fanart to each other). During these separations, she became even more obsessive than she was to the point that she started ignoring her studies and failing in school. On the few times they did reconvene, Sawtooth warned her to not ignore school but she ignored his warnings. By about 2019, they were barely in any contact. Her mother placed a final strict separation between them, though Ash would still text Sawtooth, even though he refused to text back because of her mother's boundaries. A point that was brought up earlier was that when she turns 18, she can make her own decisions and wouldn't have to listen to her mother anymore. When she did turn 18, Sawtooth would start returning her texts and they would officially become a couple. At this point, they began exploring a mild sexual relationship (no one was forced or pressured to do anything), but this wouldn't last too long. The relationship was immediately toxic and ended barely 6 months (I believe) after it started. Sawtooth was the one to break it off. They apparently had a momentary FWB deal but there really is no detail as to how all of that went but they were both adults at this time so it generally isn't our business but it was clear their relationship had grown sour. Then by 2022, Ash told Sawtooth that she was gonna expose him for their relationship and Sawtooth knew that if she did, he would never be trusted again because he knows how the internet is gonna take stuff like this. She got him to beg that she not come forward because it would mean the end of his channel. He would eventually accept this and stopped making videos for a while. By February, both made posts around the same time detailing their sides and Sawtooth privated his channel. She blames him for being 19 and fraternising with a 15 year-old at the time and for being the reason she did bad in school and can't go to college. I'm not even framing it, that is literally what her trauma was; that she did bad and school and blames it on him. It's obvious to me at least that this was a masterclass of a nothing burger that honestly has nothing to do with us so there was no reason they should have actively destroyed his career, but we all know how the internet is. No one can make a mistake without being caught and cancelled for it, no matter how many years have passed or how small the mistake was.

A point that was brought up earlier was that when she turns 18, she can make her own decisions and wouldn't have to listen to her mother anymore. When she did turn 18, Sawtooth would start returning her texts and they would officially become a couple. At this point, they began exploring a mild sexual relationship (no one was forced or pressured to do anything), but this wouldn't last too long. The relationship was immediately toxic and ended barely 6 months (I believe) after it started. Sawtooth was the one to break it off. They apparently had a momentary FWB deal but there really is no detail as to how all of that went but they were both adults at this time so it generally isn't our business but it was clear their relationship had grown sour. Then by 2022, Ash told Sawtooth that she was gonna expose him for their relationship and Sawtooth knew that if she did, he would never be trusted again because he knows how the internet is gonna take stuff like this. She got him to beg that she not come forward because it would mean the end of his channel. He would eventually accept this and stopped making videos for a while. By February, both made posts around the same time detailing their sides and Sawtooth privated his channel. She blames him for being 19 and fraternising with a 15 year-old at the time and for being the reason she did bad in school and can't go to college. I'm not even framing it, that is literally what her trauma was; that she did bad and school and blames it on him. It's obvious to me at least that this was a masterclass of a nothing burger that honestly has nothing to do with us so there was no reason they should have actively destroyed his career, but we all know how the internet is. No one can make a mistake without being caught and cancelled for it, no matter how many years have passed or how small the mistake was.

@@snowmations Pls fact check. Sawtooth and the victim dated at age 18(victim) and 22(sawtooth). The victim offered to roleplay as bf and gf at age 15(victim) and 19(sawtooth). Sawtooth did not date the victim till 18. If you want those who don't know the controversy to know about it then pls just provide links to sawtooth and victim's post or just give a link to a vid explaining the controversy like black queen 's video so people who don't know the situation can decide what their opinion is.
