I have been out in the wildest conditions in my GT and always felt safe. Seating position is quite comfortable as the deck is moulded to provide support to back and legs. I was using a thick cushion but found it is more comfortable just using the seat that comes as standard.

Great vids on the Viking thanks. Looking for two kayaks for a couple, general purpose and fishing rivers/lakes/beach, is there a particular model amongst Profish GT, Espri or Nemo which which you would recommend for maneuverability and kayaks which stack well on top of each other?

Gday mate. Do you offer lessons in kayaking in surf. I’m keen to do some offshore stuff and would love a bit of a heads up before i try to punch through myself.

@@PaddleGuy1 g'day mate..thanks for the reply. I took my old kayak to pt. Cartwright last weekend and had a bit of a go. I soon got the hang of it in some pretty choppy swell so I reckon with a purpose built kayak I'll be ok. I appreciate your reply though. Cheers mate. Btw I'm from Brissie

Hey mate looking to get my first kayak and been eyeing up the profish 35. I want something as small in size but am wondering if it struggles at sea compared to a 4-4.5m

The compromise with shorter yaks is lack of water line length / this equals lower top end speeds so you will just take longer to get somewhere..how far do you want to go ? Also a side note but important one is any longer kayak maker for open ocean has been designed to be safer in this environment- meaning hatches usually do not leak, seat positions set lower for better balance to accommodate swell and options for rudder which will be essential if your dealing with current and wind. Profish 35 is a capable inshore yak, and close offshore yak but certainly waterproof the centre hatch.

Any experience with a Stealth Kayak?? It's pretty much either a stealth or a Viking yak for me. I appreciate that your channel has some good info on the viking kayaks. There aren't a ton.

Some experience- whats your main need ? I will assume its offshore as thats really the only thing a stealth is designed for vs the Reload which can work well offshore but is a very good allrounder. If you need a kayak exclusively for surf launches that is designed for trolling lures and covering distances at speed then thats what a stealth is made for. If you want a kayak that can do that well enough as you see with my trips but is a little more versatile then the Viking Reload will serve you well.

If I ever had to get rid of my Profish Reload, it would only be for another Viking....
