The Jewish community - from students in America to citizens of Israel have been loudly critical of Netanyahu's policies and the incomprehensible toll this war has inflicted on innocent people without succeeding in returning our hostages or creating a path (that I can see) for peace. But spreading violence, terror and hate speech across the globe doesn't create any sympathy or support. It detracts and degrades.

Like it or not Netanyahu is the leader of the Israel and was chosen by the majority in a democratic process. America does not get to choose who is the leader of Israel we the people do. I think that you don't understand the scale of the horrors of October 7 (you really can't even after watching so many horrific videos filmed by the terrorists themselves) and what it entails to live surrounded by enemies that have one goal in mind to annihilate you. We are being stabbed, chased, run over, you name it every day in our own country so please spare us the innocent people serenade- we in Israel don't want this and will not accept this anymore there is no peace with these people and certainly not a state to be given to them as a prize for the atrocities. I really like your channel but I feel that you are, like a lot of American Jews, care more about Democrats being elected than the welfare and safety of the Israelis and that is unfortunate.

I wish you would put that political science degree to work instead of personalize the entire narrative. Oct 7th was horrible but it doesn't happen if Israel hadn't forced millions of people into an outdoor prison, leading to mass radicalization. Israel's security is tied to amicable agreements (like those with Jordan and Egypt) and those do not happen under the boot of occupation....it just doesn't. Interesting that you do not mention once the suffering of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians as if they are invisible (this is the narrative of Benjamin Netanyahu which led to the Abraham Accords). This is one further step that led to the unlawful lashing out of Hamas in a violent attempt to be seen. Again...use that political science degree because anyone can tell their side of the story without true context.

I think the whole situation is complex. I do believe we failed to teach these kids what this country went through during 9/11. I also think these kids have been fed a healthy diet of diversity, equity, and inclusion oppressor vs the oppressed. There are also outside agitators who have flamed the fire and responsible for some of the violence. Some of this is youthful spirit. Try to remember being their age and wanting to change the world. Believing you could changed the world and wanting to be something bigger than themselves. And unfortunately the level of anti semitism and hate red in the world is astounding. And frankly tragic. There is a tremendous human suffering of the Palestinian people. Most who are children who have nothing to do with Hamas or the conflict. And Israel versus the gazians does seem to be a David versus Goliath fight. So a lot going on here. Whole situation is tragic, heartbreaking and hateful.

We in Israel feel that not only we suffered October 7 and lost many of our people and we are fighting Hamas, but we are also fighting the whole world and antisemitism. As Jews we are not "allowed" to defend ourselves and bring our hostages back because we need to demonstrate restraint and just allow everybody to hurt us. The US help is a double edge sword- you want our help, it should be on our terms and we decide how you will conduct this war according to political and money interests and this is infuriating to the Israeli public. We want to bring our hostages back and finish Hamas and fight Hizballa but alas. We have such great army and military force to get things accomplished, yet we use maybe a tenth of it. Marion thank you for speaking of this but I feel your video lacks exactly what we don't hear from Jews in America- your voice loud and clear to your president to help Israel and not help finish Israel. The Jews in America have a lot of power yet crickets where Israel is concerned, shhhhhhh, let's not get in the way of Democrats getting elected again. These brainwashed college students are funded by hostile elements who wish to disintegrate America from the inside and nobody is stopping them. I am more worried at this point for Jews all over than Jews in Israel.

I was in graduate school at Tulane University from 1969-71 and was living on campus during the student protests that erupted across the country in May 1970 immediately after the tragedy at Kent State University, where four protesters were killed by members of the Ohio National Guard. Kent State was not the only catalyst for the student protest movement at that time. Our country was still embroiled in the Vietnam War with no end in sight. Nixon had ordered the Cambodia incursion in that war just days before Kent State. The draft would continue for almost 3 more years. The assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 still weighed heavily on Americans' hearts. The 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago had turned violent. I stayed in my dorm room during the protests as all classes and activities were canceled. The ROTC barracks a couple of buildings down from my dorm was burned to the ground by students throwing Molotov cocktails. The initial level of violence was such that some Tulane incidents were included in Time magazine's coverage of nationwide campus protests. Finally the protesting at Tulane became calmer, due in large part to the wise handling of the situation by the head of the Tulane police, Colonel Scruton. The spring semester ended about a month early, but by the time the fall semester began things had returned to normal on campus. I tend to think that parents had serious talks that summer with their children who were in college, reminding them what the consequences could be for their education and beyond if things got out of hand again. The issues back then were much different than the issues involved in today's campus protests. Well before October 7, 2023, antisemitism was beginning to run rampant on many college campuses in this country. That is the factor that continues to astonish me, because I cannot even begin to understand that hatred aimed at Jewish people right here in the United States.

Thank you for sharing your experiences as a student 1969-1971. Of course, it is apples and oranges to compare the Vietnam War protests to antisemitism on campuses today. Students in your time did NOT hide their identities behind masks and keffiyehs, and when the media asked students, 'Why are you against the war?' EVERY student was prepared to answer. Across American campuses today, when students are asked, 'What are you protesting for?' masked students say, 'I do not speak to the media. Contact our media director for a statement of position.' Can you imagine that American students have become such mindless pawns of indoctrination that they cannot articulate their OWN reason for protest? This is mindless hatred and will not end well for these indoctrinated Hamas-apologists.

@@vivianpowell1732 I have seen dozens of videos where media has attempted to interview these things ... and in every instance, the thing says, 'I don't want to talk to you. I am a high school social studies teacher in the Midwest. Jewish, and supervisor of the Jewish student club. My Jewish students have been riding a very different wave from their peers all year. And frankly, I think the most salient factor is what you pointed out- these are kids who feel intimately impacted by terrorism within the span of their own lifetimes. Some have lived in Israel, but more of their parents have. Most have family and friends there. And most other kids in their peer group have been insulated from the threat of terrorism all their lives. It’s easier to buy into ‘terrorism as freedom fighting’ when you’re never actually at risk of being violently targeted for a political cause. The Jewish kids we serve see themselves as being at risk of identity-motivated violence inside of our school, at temple, in their homes, and when they move on to college. I worry SO deeply that these kids aged 14-18 don’t know a life without fear of violence. Because what kind of adult person develops from that adolescent experience? It’s heartbreaking.

I am very well educated on the topic and I can tell you clearly that the public sentiment across the globe and the US have changed vis a vis Israel because of the horrible videos of bombing buildings and wounded families and children ( I agree with trump on this one) our human mind can’t process those videos that bombarded us day and night for months. I had nightmares of bombs dropping on my building one night although I live in a very safe neighborhood. So the bottom line is Israel had the upper moral ground at first but couldn’t keep it because it turned into brutality very quickly. I can’t speak for college students but they should read more about the conflict and not follow trends on TikTok or other platforms thats for sure

5:56 you forgot to say that another important reason that we are in Israel is because we have a claim to the land ( the same way that the Japanese has a claim to Japan or the Chinese has a claim to China and so on) unlike the so-called "Palestinians"!!

Hey Marion 👋🏼😊 I had not thought about the fact that none of them remember 9/11 personally 💡 I hope you and your family were able to enjoy Passover. Thinking of you and all of the Jewish people.

Thank you for your beautiful and thoughtful video. Something else very upsetting is that USC and other schools who have cancelled graduation are not realizing that this is the second graduation these kids are missing. These are the covid hs grads. All of this is heartbreaking.

Not all of us hate the Jews! I wear a Star of David in support of the Jews. Every time I touch it I say a prayer for the hostages and the Jews worldwide. I’m not Jewish but I stand behind the Jews. I pray for peace.

you said what Israel does has nothing to do with Jewish students (I agree), but then also said that it is impossible to separate Israel from the Jewish people.... they are also covering their faces because they don't want to get doxxed

♥️ I will always stand with the Jewish people and I hope to one day be Jewish myself. Starting today I will wear my Magen David everyday. I’ve always felt the strong pull toward Judaism since i can remember, but haven’t been able to get far into my conversion. I feel now is the time to make the changes I need to make so I can finally do it! I’m getting my drivers license and will be joining a conservative synagogue when I do, nearest one is an hour away. Love from Michigan. Love always wins, it will be ok.

Not Jewish but I am millennial like you and I do enjoy your content. I strongly disagree with the way the Israeli government has responded to the attacks. However, I often dislike the tone of the protests because it often does slip into being anti-Semitic or calls for violence against Israel, which I am very much not ok with. I do think universities have a duty to their Jewish and Israeli students to make sure they feel safe in the campuses where they are paying to get an education.

My dear first of all let me remind you that what we are doing right now in Gaza is nothing compared to what you did after 9/11 and of course what you did in Syria against Isis so it's very hypocritical of you to be okay with what your country is doing but when we do a 1/10 of it you have a problem And secondly you said that you have a problem with the government here let me remind you that we elected that government and people right now are angry about the government because because the government is not doing enough to put down the the animals of Gaza in short what we are doing in Gaza this is not what the government want it is what the Israeli people want!! So do for me a favor with my dear get this simple fact into your head and try to be a " little bit" less hypocritical!!!🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
