My ex girlfriend ended up pushing me away because I was “too good for her”, cause I had my shit together and she didn’t. If you go on her social media, she’s always happy/her life is amazing. She’s a pretty girl and has thousands of followers but not a single one knows the behind the scenes. I love the girl but that alone showed me how fake social media is.

@TakeBackYourMind9973 жыл бұрын
Top things that helped me with comparison are: - Understanding that we all have such different lives and circumstances that comparison between you and another person can NEVER be a fair test. - You never truly know someone, so it's impossible for you to actually compare yourself to them. You're comparing your entire self to your outside perception of them. - Everyone's losing the comparison game. The people that make you feel like shit, have people that make them feel like shit. In that sense, we're all equals. - Even if comparison was completely valid, it still doesn't help you in any way at all. So there's no reason to do it. You have full permission to let go of those thoughts for this reason. - Comparison is a habitual way of thinking, and habits can be changed!

Sometimes parents fault why we compare ourselves to others. After I discover and practice my mind not to compare myself to anyone. I'm more happy, and appreciate every small success i did. Comparing yourself to others is like a poison that slowly kills your personality, you become insecure, frustrated and depressed ... When somebody compares you to others just dont listen to them. Have you ever wondered how back in the early 1900s on up until the late 1900s there were so many advances in science and technology, so many inventions. Perhaps men and women back then weren’t nearly as distracted by what their fellow man or woman was doing, but were zeroed in on the task at hand. It seems like the more we consume ourselves with comparison and what others are doing it only stalls us and further paralyzes us from achieving goals.
