As for it being a new movie series, it is. There's a new Optimus Prime solo film slated for release soon, so yeah it's the start of a new series. As for it being a new movieverse, it also is. Shockwave and literally everyone looks different from how they did in the original TF movieverse, Cybertron looks different. Sure, it might be a prequel, but its set it in a new universe. You're gonna tell me Bumblebee had a previous owner as an entirely different model car with no mention of either in the old movies?

It could've been the Solar Radiation that caused the paint to erode away while he was in space, it was never stated how long he was out there, but the loss of color upon dying would also explain why Cybertron is so grey and dull because the Core (Primus) is dead and no longer producing Energon

The reason it is different is because Bumblebee is based on G1 while the previous 5 movies were based on Mihael Bay's nightmares. Even if Bumblebee takes place in the same universe as the previous films the planet would look however the creators of the movie would like because continuity is an alien term in this franchize.

As the war went on, Cybertron got more destroyed in the process and that's when Cybertron began looking like a sphere with hexagonal shapes on it, because it was it's skeleton. Like the inside of it. If you know about the games then there is a place in Cybertron known as the Sea of Rust. It is the place where pure energon is purified into "usable" energon while the green in the TF 2007 movie may be the discarded by product of energon refining. What I want to say is the 2007 planet design relates to the 1987 design. That solves one side of the story. And, the "skeleton" theory solves the next

This movie is a separate entity from the Michael Bay films. First of all, the spin off takes place in the 80's and has a G1/War On Cybertron design, as you said. But this has to be a different universe from Michael Bay's films because of one scene in The Last Knight, the scene where Bumblebee and Hot Rod fight Nazis. They have the same design look as the rest of the Michael Bay Transformers. And WW2 happened in the 40's and I don't think Bumblebee would go from complex design to basic design in the 80's back to complex in 2007.

Cybertron from the first film looked wilder than the third. I suppose it was at a later stage of the war. As for the size of the planet, actually in the third it seemed much larger than in the fifth. But considering we almost always see the buildings (or would be macro-agglomerations embedded in the relief?) Of space, I always wondered if Cybertron was not a nanic planet (like that of the Kaioh of the North, or those of Spore). In my common sense it would make sense for it to reduce the gravity of the planet, and behave much larger masses (which would not yet explain how they would bear the gravity of the Earth when they see here). But according to Sal Khan, there is a ray calculation (which I did not understand bulbulous because the teaching in my country is too bad) which corroborates the theory of Akira Toriyama that tiny planets have greater gravity

Yes it is a pre-qual. This is what was said when originally announced. It looks different because the director actually cares about the franchise, and likes the look of the bayformers as much as everyone else. I think in TF3 the ground was destroyed, only the beams remained... And in the Bumblebee film, if you look closely, then you can see some beams under the ground in the very first scene when they show Cybertron from above... And I think the battle scene in the Bumblebee film was much earlier than the battle in TF3... Optimus's crew left Cybertron and the decepticons followed the autobots, but not every cybertronian could leave Cybertron because there wasn't enough escape pod and ship for every cybertronian to leave Cybertron, only a few ships remained as we can see in the beginning of TF3... So lots of autobot and decepticons stuck on Cybertron and they continued the war on the planet's beams... And Optimus stayed on Cybertron as we can see in the Bumblebee film, and he stayed on Cybertron until the war's final days because in TF3 Optimus said: "The ship's name was the Ark. I watched it escape Cybertron myself." So that means he stayed on Cybertron a little longer than the Ark...

I believe it's all of your points along with a couple of mine. Travis wanted a different art style then the bay ones to differentiate his movie from the previous and add color to the transformers. Also to be faithfull to the source material. Second it was explained in the movies that cybertron is alive. So it would explain how and why the changes are so prevalent in the movies. The planet keep evolving or transforming if you will. The timeline of transformers is not as complicated as people think. I have a couple of theories. First is what we've seen of cybertron is either war torn territory toward the end of the war or after life on the planet has been dead for untold ages. To me these changes are because the planet is still active with energon. It is also worth mentioning what we saw of cybertron in the first transformers movie was with Megatron as the focus in the hologram and with the jagged towers this could indicate a decepticons territory such as Kaon while in tf3 and the bumblebee film the civilization is more honeycomb shaped and rounded also likely being an attack on an autobots city like Iacon which would reinforce these design choices between the jagged decepticon designs and smoother autobots designs. Alternatively, since the planet has appeared different in different films the planet is adapting indicating that primus is still alive at the planet's core and reconstitutes after damage (or by quintessa). I think you covered a lot of this in the vid, but I thought I would throw my nuance in for further thought. Also, these g1ers and bay bashers are in denial. Bay is one of the main producers for the film and they are dropping hints all over the place the film is connected so get over your fantasy of a g1 cut and paste with box shape backpack former character design.

In the third movie, only a half of a third of Cybertron was destroyed. Not half of it. I think the reason why Cybertron looks so small in The Last Knight is bc its actually a small moon that orbits Cybertron. I think Cybertron does have 2 moons. So this may be one if them.

That flashback isn't real. Optimus wouldn't have a panning camera shot of cybertron and megatron just randomly killing one autobot. This isn't something he's seen directly, just a representation of what he's talking about. If his hologram tech is advanced enough to do full 3D visuals in color, he can probably also create his own images. He's just giving them a visual representation of what megatron and the decepticons are like. Also, they officially announced that Bumblebee is a reboot. It clearly wasn't meant to be, but there are enough inconsistencies that it can be successfully broken off from the old canon

I believe that this Bumblebee movie is its own continuity since these designs are g1 based (thier true forms). I know you explained how they look so g1 but that theory seems just......off and plus I don't think that cybertron scene was taken a thousand years ago lol. Heck the CEO of Hasbro even said that its "a reboot to the movie franchise". Also the reason why we hear Bobby Bolivias voice in that first trailer is just cause it was a quick little homage. Many people and even critics are taking this as a reboot too, I also heard that they went back for some reshoots and even hired a new script writer to change the original ending for the film, but hey will just have to see and wait.

I have a theory now; now if Bumblebee was a prequel, and if Optimus Prime is already on the planet with Bumblebee, who could be fourth meteor? Since Bay's Transformers look very similar in their Cybertronian forms with no vehicles, and that transformer we see that transforms into the 18 wheeler is Optimus Prime, but according to Bumblebee, he was already on the planet with him. I would think that it would have to be between Starscream, Bonecrusher, or Brawl (Devestar.) I feel like that maybe of them had crashed on the planet with the other three autobots: Ironhide, Jazz, and Ratchet. One of them could have went off course from their decepticon brethren and headed towards the autobots to make it look like four meteors fell. The only highest suggestion that the decepticon could have landed on, was the football field. I feel like this would be a great theory to cover on.

A simple explanation for this that I always like to think is that Cybertron in the movies has many different biomes, architecture, etc. just like how Earth's cities and natural structures vary depending on its geographic location.

Travis Knight's bumblebee is not supposed to exactly line up with the bayverse because while somewhat a prequel, it is also a soft reboot meaning that there will be some changes for the whole story starting from the beginning

You’re right since in TLK we see Bumblebee in WW2 but the first wave of Autobots arrived in 2007 so this would imply that Bumblebee left before Cybertron died

I'm not saying Bumblebee is a prequel or a remake, I'm just saying that (as far as I can see) the only sign of it bring a prequel is the fact that Bee still can't talk. HOWEVER... That aspect DID make its way into a few animated series (Prime and Cyberverse) but either a prequel or a remake, I have a good feeling it'll be an awesome movie.

Bumble Bee should’ve been the 1st movie in the Transformers Universe plus if you’ve watched the 80’s Transformers cartoons, this is how the characters looked. I guess they wanted to give us the original Transformers and start over.

Cybertron is different because its not Michael Bay and the new director creating the Reboot version of TF is based on G1. And the buildings you see in the Bumblebee trailer is either Metroplex City or the other city. Its not a "The Same" contiuity

If you dig more into the backstory of the Bay verse Cybertron, it has been revealed that in the first movie the image you see is actually the Decepticon capital of Kaon which is in the southern region of Cybertron as for the look of Cybertron in the last night the reason it is smaller, is because it has been established in the lore that over the eons upon eons of the cybertronian existence they have continuously built and added to their Planet which would account for its massive size so the planet being ripped apart in Sentinel Prime space Bridge would reduce it to a smaller State without destroying it
