fr tho a year ago I watched A New Hope because I was so bored and began to watch the rest of the Star Wars movies. Back when I was in school my friends used to tell me Star Wars was for nerds and said to myself I would never watch Star Wars but now I like it so much Im more and more interested in all the different characters stories I can sometimes relate to them

Why was Darth Plagueis not in the movies I wonder?
@FrostedSeagull9 ай бұрын
I completely agree with you. Darth Plagueis: Came to prominence after the novel by James Luceno. Confusion I had read somewhere that Darth Plagueis had been killed many years prior to the events of The Phantom Menace. More Confusion The author of Revenge of the Sith, Matt Stover, also strongly hints at this. Darth Sidious is hundreds of years old. We are told this as the four Jedi Masters including Mace Windu, prepare to take on Sidious. The clairvoyant Jedi Master 'senses' Sidious. Sidious is hundreds of years old and dressed in old clothes. The inference hear meaning that Sidious incorporates the essence of ALL previous Sith Masters. That's Sith MASTER'S and NOT just Sith Lords. Mass Confusion We are then told Plagueis was alive until Anakin was about 11 years old. Both Plagueis and Sidious had been throwing the Force off balance via their experiments with the Dark side of the Force and meddling with the midi chlorians.

I hope Darth Plagueis is still alive in canon. Knowing that he was watching Anakin during the movie and terrified of him. Like how Tales of the Jedi did for Dooku during The Phantom Menace.
@RetneysHolocron9 ай бұрын
Who knows! He was definitely killed by Palpatine at some point, but the Legends version is definitely different.
@jowoman77999 ай бұрын
@RetneysHolocron I'd love if the legends novel became canon. But knowing LucasFilm, they'd like to do their own version again of him. Which I'm okay with. I just hope they do something soon because the time period with him and Palpatine is very interesting.

In canon tho, the story that Palps tells Anakin about plagueis ability to rezz the dead, was a lie. A bribe so to speak to push him towards the dark side; and a way for Palps to find out that he had nightmares about Padme, as Ani had about his mother.
@benengle96219 ай бұрын
Sideous was the source of both those nightmares so he didn't have a need to "learn" about Anakin's dreams
@RetneysHolocron9 ай бұрын
Where is it stated that Palpatine caused Anakin's nightmares?
@jowoman77999 ай бұрын
@RetneysHolocron It's never stated, but it's the theory people use. Like how Palpatine knew that Padmé was going to die without Anakin telling him.
@joakimareskoug14379 ай бұрын
@@jowoman7799 no he figured it out by bating Ani with that bogus Plagueis-story. Thats why he turns his head menacingly and says: "Not from a jedi." ... Palps then knew that Ani had both the dreams again and taken the bait.

For one Darth Plagueis is my favorite EU book. It states at the end that Palpatine was the one that created Anakin. Now the real world explanation as from George Lucas from the making of Revenge of the Sith book, Palpatine actually tells Anakin that he was the one that manipulated the midichlorians and created him and he tells Anakin in a sense I am father. So I think that cements the fact who Anakin's real father is. Darth Plagueis taught Darth Sidious everything he knows. But Lucas cut the dialogue because he felt it took away from Darth Vader's revelation

Three there are a Master, an apprentice and an apprentice of the apprentice? Why did they break the Rule of Two?

Plagueis wanted to end the rule of two. He allowed Palpatine to train Maul as an assassin
@dipperdandy9 ай бұрын
Because evil?
@benengle96219 ай бұрын
Maul wasn't supposed to be a full Sith Lord but Sideous trained him fully anyway. That's also part of the perpetuation of the Rule of Two. The apprentice challenges the master when they've found their own student
