I wasn't surprised, it's very transparent you appreciate and have the passion for diff makes and models . I myself own diff make and models . I'm 36 now growing up I always had camaro iroc-z and mustang gt , buick grand national etc.... Some at the same time . As well as Gmc denali trucks and ford lightning's later on . Till this day now older I still enjoy automobiles of different makes and models and always keep a couple of toys in my garage. It's so therapeutic to me to go out there and hit the roads . Just recently my wife and I purchased a 2019 Subaru and never in a million years did I think I will own a Subaru, we absolutely love it. Thanks for your vids there always exceptional .

Iroc-z..you don't see those every day..even less for the GNX..that one is really great. The lighting with the whine..classics. The Subaru is a different change from American. Same here...I have always been a huge Mustang fan dating back to the time when I first heard a 5.0 when I was 9 in 1989 (almost 40 😕)...I’ve been thru 6 Mustangs, two of them being Cobras, a couple of Integras, a 454SS Silverado and 3 turbo Volvo wagons-hence the screen name. Being brand loyal or loyal to one particular model car really limits being able to see what other cool machines are out there and if they’re manual it’s even better...I am going to drive and more than likely buy a ‘12 Lexus IS F tomorrow and see what kinda fun I can have by adding it to the stable.

I have a 10 Speed 2017 ZL1. I have have a bunch of cars. 2003 Cobra, 2008 Z06, 2013 GT500, 2014 Stingray Z51, 2016 Challenger Hellcat. This ZL1 is better than all of them. I haven't gotten tired of it yet. And that's saying a lot for me. It's a special machine.

Nice choice Doris. I can understand wanting a car RIGHT now, been there, done that. But I also get wanting the car that fits you. I've had to make that choice a couple of times. Back in 1983 I wanted a brand new 1984 Camaro Z28, went to the dealer and saw what they had. There really wasn't much on the lot that fit the bill. I ended up ordering the car my way, 5.0 H.O. engine, 5 speed manual, JL8 4 wheel discs, posi rear, powering steering and brakes and of course color. I got it in charcoal gray metallic with gray interior. It came in about 5-6 weeks after I ordered it with 3 miles on it. Same thing in 1985 when I ordered my IROC-Z, nothing on the lot so I placed my order again. Of course this took a bit longer as Chevy was only building IROCs as they were ordered. Enjoy your new ride!!

Doris you did it again.. I'm glad you made this purchase. I love the color that you got also. Soon as it's broken in pulley swap and ported supercharger snout is a must.Also put a corsa or borla attack full exhaust on it with headers. Trust you will notice a huge difference. Woman.Driven Yea the resonators definitely have to go. Definitely put it on the track to see how far you want to take it power wise. If you're are going to put it on the drag strip then you really would have to set it up to chase numbers. Cam, meth injection,tire conversion, smaller pulley, and maybe some nitrous lol. But we will see how you like running it on a regular track. Welcome to the Chevy club. Be aware you might stop driving your mustang 😂😂😂

Love the Zl1 I was actually out to buy one but I ran across a Z06 and couldn’t turn it down. I’m going to start a channel with some detailing and mods to the Z06. Getting a cam in April. So excited!

At that point..no matter what option, you would have had the same engine. Both look good too. Start one..you have the car. There is a large audience for vettes and detailing. Cams should liven the car up even more with a lovely idle.

I personally like the look of all three current "muscle cars". I would buy/drive all three. My heart is Mopar, has been since my first car was a 74 Plymouth Duster. I think Mustang is the best cold start, period. I like the Camaro aggressive stance. I like the Challenger because it truly looks like the 1970's reborn. I am guessing based on your taste that your are a track enthusiast, and not the drag strip. Which is great. It's one of the only channels I watch that gives me a look into a world I know absolutely nothing about. And I like the in depth work you put into the cars. Always ends up costing me money as some of the tools you use I don't have and are a must have. LOL Have a great work week!

Im not a Maro guy and i offend thought the new body style has body features of the charger and mustang, but now like the s550 it grew really quick on me. Both cars bring two different experiences so i would probably did the same thing and purchase. My best friend has the 2012 Camaro SS and I owned 2011 Mustang. I had 1998 Camaro. The Camaro is well planted on corners. I felt more confident in the Camaro. Good choice on the ZL1. For daily drive, I will drive the Mustang because it doesn't feel like being in a submarine. 😊

Dorace both of your cars are very nice but im going to give you my years of expierence with gm products and Ford. I am a gm guy and have owned over the years probably 25 corvettes all years starting with a 66 convertible I restored. My last vette was a 2016 z06 with the z07 package with the carbon ceramic brakes. The car was very nice. One day I woke up and decided that I was bored with vetts and decided to trade it in on a charger hellcat. I talked to some of my friends who work at dealerships and they talked me away from the charger hellcat. My friends told me to go test drive a Cadillac ctsv the newest generation. I would have never in my life considered a Cadillac because I think of them as old farts cars well I was wrong this car is beautiful and is a beast and the handling is better than excellent if that's possible. If you ever get the chance to check a new one out you will trade both of your cars in for one. If you like to track your cars you need to track a ctsv you will never go back. Stay safe

That is a lot of vettes. You sure know them better than I know myself lol. The CTSv's are great handling cars. They really changed things up with the alpha chassis. I love the look as well. I've driven the ATSv which is actually pretty good. But no where near the muscle of the CTS. Thanks for watching.

Big congrats on your new car, great choice really no matter how it's optioned and that color is sweet. I just picked up a Mosaic Black Metallic 2019 Zl1 and did seriously consider the ILE but due to the fact that I would drive it to work regularly and likely won't track much I put the money towards getting the 10 speed, PDR, and all the carbon fiber options. My other cars are both 6-speeds so I'm happy with the options. It really is a beast and it took 3.5 months for mine to come in from the factory!

I agree, the 1LE is definitely not a comfortable daily driver and if you're not going to be going to the track as much. But you can still take your ZL1 to the track and daily it, so best of both worlds. It's nice to have the 10 speed, especially if you already have two 6-speed cars. You really got it spec'd out great, PDR and CF inserts inside area a great addition. I can imagine that it must have felt like eternity to get the car lol. Enjoy it and have fun! Safe driving.

The room in my garage is maxed out, but I have a 95 Supra Turbo, 05 WRX STI, and now the 2019 ZL1. 4, 6, 8 cylinders, turbo, twin turbo and supercharged. Inline and V configurations, Manual and Auto, AWD, Rear Drive, 4 door and 2 door, old and new tech, blah, blah = Variety is the spice of life !

Total respect to you! I grew up with a strong single mom of 3 boys. She was a First Sergeant in the Army and during her time she dealt with a bunch of nonsense, no doubt. Hi Doris, looks like you got a taste of torque and are addicted LOL. Back in the day we had big block fans and small-block block fans, those who like small blocks like to rev the engine High and didn't really care for that monster torque feeling. Big block fans love the torque and will not settle for less. It seems Ford is designing cars to appeal to traditional small block fans as well as European sports cars. Chevy however is producing cars with that big block torque. Both are wonderful depending on what the driver prefers. To update you on my travels I had to go back to the East Coast because my father passed away but now I restarted my vacation and spent the last week in Tampa Florida and next week I will spend in Key West. Look forward to seeing more videos!

Hi Don, yes that is very true! As soon as I got into the ZL1 the first time and floored it, it was a pure adrenaline rush and I loved the feeling. That makes sense and honestly I wouldn't be able to pick just one. They are two different feelings, I enjoy driving the Mustang and revving the high engine, it puts a smile to my face, not to mention how it sounds. I haven't drove the Camaro to its full potential but I know it will be torquey and I can't wait to feel that. At the end, two completely different feelings that cater to different crowds. I'm truly sorry for your loss but I'm glad that you are doing alright and started your vacation again. I have been to Tampa very few times to visit Busch Gardens but never been to Key West. Congrats on the purchase. I own a 350 and have driven the zl1 1le twice. The 1lE , IMO, doesn’t have the soul and special factor that the 350 does. The 350, although isn’t as fast, just feels so good and so effing special cause of the voodoo, there’s nothing like it. That being said, be careful in the 1le, it’s mind boggling fast and can get away from you very easily. Good luck!

I understand the whole soul part..and I get it. The GT350 is the car you want to take to enjoy and appreciate the high revs and exhaust note. The ZL1 is meant to just rip on the track without looking back. It doesn't have the heritage of the GT350, sure..but Chevy with this car had one thing in mind..and I feel they obtained it. The same was said about the R-35 GTR that it had no soul..but put it on a track and things change lol. Different cars for different functions.
