I don't understand why people think Jiri is the best LHW he barely beat Glover, keeps his hands down as part of his offensive strategy to generate power, someone like Hill who throws straight punches and has sound defense, will destroy him. I would be interested to see the line from Vegas if they fight. I do favor Jiri against everyone else in the field but I don't get what Hill has to do for people to consider him the best at LHW. He only lost to Paul Craig and if they run that back he probably wins 7-8 out of 10? I think its 1. Hill 2. Jiri 3. Ankalaev

Honestly Chael I think the reason why is because respect and respect alone. Someone did this for him in a way. Like jiri didn't need to give up the belt and neither did hill but they have respect for the division in the fact that say he's out for 9 months with this injury and he is training to come back and something else happens and he has to be out for another 5 or 6 months that a total of like 15month plus the 6 he has already not fought so like almost 2 years without a light weight belt is crazy honestly. Like you don't know how the future is going to be with an acl injury.(I've had 2 playing college soccer). So I feel like he is a good guy and this is how he is thinking. Which I like honestly.

Chael can I point something out for you.. both guys got hurt in Las Vegas. Both guys were most likely (I have no idea) diagnosed by UFC doctors. The UFC is obviously forcing them into vacating the title. It’s like when a coach in sport gets fired. Sometimes they give them the option to resign to save the embarrassment of being fired. That’s what happened here. The UFC tells them you relinquish or we strip.

Why would you test guy 64 times and then not stripping him but letting him vacate the belt , when someone popular like Jones was stripped 2 times ? Prochazka just vacated the belt becose of injury so others can have their chance Hill got the chance and got the belt and now when he is in the same possition as Jiri was, even when it's hard for him he maybe doesn't want to do it but he knows it is the best thing to do for others instead of holding up the division even more.
