My dad could be gruff, but his switch was keen to see when his boys needed support. A friend had left his 'Modified Stock Car' in my dad's gas station repair bay for weeks. Dad asked when it was going to be moved. I got all defensive and blurted out 'It doesn't even handle; the wheel base is too long.' In WW2, he used to modify Jeeps for a bit of racing fun. He quietly wheeled over the torches and pointed to the frame just behind the motor mounts. 'I figure 13 inches from here should do it.' In about an hour, it was stiched back together, plated (he was an excellent welder), and touched up. I was so proud of him when the owners jaw dropped open, followed by a smile. Now, it handled.

I did get her to go green laning a couple of times but come 4am in the morning after being accidentally but humorously upside down for a small amount of the night in a place I probably shouldn't of been (reminds me of an ex girlfriend) she decided she didn't like it any more. Now I came to realise after seing the v12 in the lounge of Mr Hughes that any girlfriend that is happy with such loverly decor must be a keeper, mine went spastic after coming home to find out I had put a pair of v8 cylinder head in the dishwasher, tottaly unreasonable i thought but I'm stuck with her now.
