I did a reading on The Menedez Brothers a while ago and you saw the same things I did. I totally got a cult vibe too. I sensed the mom was distant and the father was abusive and controlling and got whatever he wanted! I remember when all of it happened and watching the news make the boys seem to be unappreciative brats wanting money. It's so sad how things turned out for them. They don't seem like they acted for money but for self preservation.
@accesstotheredcarpet2 жыл бұрын
You got a bit of that information wrong. Ant specifically said that money was not the motivating factor in the murders and that the brothers were not educated about finances like getting life insurance etc. they didn’t understand money at all. The father was sexually raping the brothers whilst the mom was complicit throughout. It was such a messed up family that the brothers had enough and snapped that led them to kill the parents. A lady in the comments earlier mentioned that she was visiting a friend at the prison that one of the brothers are incarcerated at said she felt like the brothers should have never been given life sentence. Based on from what she learned during the visits to her friend at the prison. So, you need to watch Ant’s reading again. Also, research the murders story in the archived articles on what the real motives were. You can’t call kids brats when they have been constantly raped by the parent such as what exactly happened to this case. Sad story!

TW: SA! Thank you for doing this reading. I have been fascinated by this case for years and watched tons of interviews of them and other family members. Allot of them turned the blind eye, they knew the abuse was happening but didn’t stop it. And the organisation could be *allegedly* the dad being part of a big pedophile ring. He was the CEO of the RCA label (now Sony music label) and he managed allot of young artists. Some say his connections even go into the famous children boy band “Menudo”. Ricky Martin was apart of this boy band. They were one if not THE biggest Latin boy band group. If you look up “José Menendez Menudo” you will find a picture of him and the boyband including little Ricky Martin. All the members (except Ricky) came out saying they were SAd and exploited as little children while they were in the boy band. They would be replaced as soon as they turned 16 and their parents were mostly poor so they gave all their parental rights away to the management.

I clicked so fast. I’ve researched a lot about the case after watching the doc on Hulu and everything you’re saying lines up with what they’ve said. The family did turn a blind eye. Their uncle knew about the abuse too. I believe the altercation part was the older brother confronted their dad once the younger brother told him the SA was still happening and the dad said the younger one wouldn’t be able to leave the house if he didn’t stay at home and commute to college (so he could abuse him), and that he would kill (or stalk??) the brothers if they told anyone. Omg you are so spot on with this reading! The family member that knew was a cousin who stayed with the family over a summer, it all came out during the trial. The cousin testified and everything. It makes me so sad to think that if this trial was today that they may have had a different outcome - even if it was a reduced sentence like the DiDi and Rose Blanchard case. The thing that was sabotaged was one of the brother’s tennis careers. It was taking off and would mean independence and travel, taking him away from the house and the grip/influence of his parents (mostly Dad). It’s all just…tragic.

Yeah, Jose was quite the creep. When you watch the two brothers while they're testifying and being interviewed, you can feel their pain. Another thing that's interesting in watching these two men is they seem happy now. It's a very odd thing, but they seem to be at peace and are free.

And the mother was a creep and sexual predator just as much. She abused her sons just like the father did. Don't put it all on the dad. The mother and father were BOTH abusive.

The Melendez brothers did claim sexual and physical abuse by their father as the reason for the murders. They also said their mother was an abusive alcoholic and encouraged her husband to abuse them.

100%Ant. I feel exactly like you. Apparently they were sexually abused by their father. When you go through trauma as a child you you never really grow up. They did confide in a cousin if I remember correctly. I feel for these brothers even though murder was not the answer. Their father was so controlling they obviously felt trapped with no way out.

This is so sad. :( First time I heard of the case, but it intrigued me enough to listen. Many thanks for sharing your insight. I feel for these two young men. Their lives were ruined by their parents. But the fact that they will now spend their lives in prison for basically defending themselves is just too tragic. I hope that true justice will be served.

To give some insight into what you read, Erik was about to move into college right before this happened, but hi dad was still abusing him and told him he had to stay living at home. God you are good! Ant nailed it again 😊

The case is under review right now, July 2023 😮 because of new evidence corroborating the allegations of abuse. The father was an RCA records executive. A member of the 90's boy band Menudo, alleges that he was also "r word" SAd by the brother's father when he was 13-14. There is a show on Peacock about it. Interesting to note, in their second, joint trial the abuse testimony was restricted. So when the jury wasn't allowed to hear about abuse, they had nothing else to go on besides greed. Sounds like another miscarriage of justice to me.

I feel like this is your most accurate reading yet. I knew from the moment I saw the brother's testimonies of abuse in court that they were telling the truth. It's so heartbreaking that at the end of it all, they still feel trapped by their dad because he essentially stole their lives.

Pt. 2: Jose Menendez's Secrets This is some major generational trauma. A part two dive into Jose's childhood/early life would be interesting. Also, he was a record executive who was responsible for promoting the Puerto Rican boyband Menudo in the US. Ricky Martin was in this group. Semi interesting.

I love watching stuff about these cases after you do a reading. It gives such perspective. I’m just as clueless as you on most of these cases, so I’m gonna go down the rabbit hole after this. Also after you said dad got what he wanted, my initial gut reaction was that dad would have took himself out which you eventually came to. I was so happy you validated that because it means I have an inkling of intuition lol Edit: just watched 1.5 hours about the case and watching those boys have to testify about their abuse broke me. The fact that the public mocked them and made them a laughing stock is so gut wrenching. A former juror had said it best: those parents were terrorists that created bombs that killed them.
@miramerali58076 күн бұрын
The oldest brother confessed to the dad’s abuse to his maternal cousin who in turn told to their mom. So your reading about telling their situation to a relative and had been betrayed by her was true. You reading on that part was correct.
