My tip for the super noodles when you try them is to cook the noodles first and drain the water and then sprinkle the flavouring on as it gives it a more intense flavour. I find adding it while the noodles are cooking waters the flavour down. 5:38

The "different States" sales tax argument doesn't cut the mustard as each of your states is bigger than our entire Country.
@Laura-mi3nv Жыл бұрын
Its not just different on a state level, its also different on county and city levels as well. The taxes can be different in a store a mile down the road, that's why they never include tax in the price. Its just too complicated. There are thousands of tax districts in the US because of all the different tax levels. Oh, and there's also different taxes on certain items. Its a mess.

@@Laura-mi3nvthat sounds utterly mental...we pay one price in shops here in the u.k..admittedly they can differ from shop to shop but not by much...a few pence at most for the equivalent product..
@Laura-mi3nv Жыл бұрын
@@NevilleBamshu23 - it does sound mental, but it benefits the communities that you're spending in. Florida is a great example, they should tax differently as tourists bring so much traffic into certain areas that that income helps to pay for all kinds of public works that benefit the tourists. And at the end of the year, Floridians don't have to file/pay state taxes because they don't have any.

2:00 If I am correct, the tax is added by the governing of that state, not the company... so there is no real reason american stores cannot add the total cost, including tax. I just think they want to make your life as annoying as possible. I've read where you are, tax is set at around 6%, so they can easily add that 6% to the price tags instead of at check out
@marydavis5234 Жыл бұрын
Every county in the US has a different tax rate, manufacturers are not going to make sales tags within taxes included for every county in the US, and some towns have not only county tax , they have a state tax, a federal tax and city tax too.
@Bookofwords Жыл бұрын
@@marydavis5234 convenient excuses to basically keep a very ineffective system. There is nothing stopping US stores to place price tags stating what the price would be with that added tax of that state. Literally nothing, except laziness. That is quite literally how it works around the world, the tax is added to its price, and that is the price tag you see on the shelves. Its not the government putting those stickers on, its the workers. They don't need to care about other states. for instance, if something is $1 and say, its Florida and its specific tax brought it to $2.50 at check out, theres no reason they couldn't have tagged that item as 2.50, so you know the total before its even rung up. The tax doesn't suddenly change per item, if you get a can of tuna, one isn't going to have a higher tax than the other can of tuna of the same brand next to it, its a flat rate tax. It very well can be shown on every single time, on shelves, before its even picked up. I feel this is an example of something the rest of world prove can be done, but the US will find excuses to remain inefficient, even the tax. You either do your taxes yourself or hire someone, elsewhere, its taken from your pay check before you get it, you don't need to file anything unless you're self employed... another ineffective american system.
@marydavis5234 Жыл бұрын

@Bookofwords Жыл бұрын
@@marydavis5234 that's exactly my point. the IRS already knows what you've earned and what you owe, they just want you to jump through unnecessary hoops. Elsewhere in the world, your taxes are taken from your pay before it goes into your bank, nothing to file, everything covered.

@samimilly3405 Жыл бұрын
I know why tax isn't included in ur pricing. Each state differs in tax and the price can change from street to street if they are close enough to state borders, so instead of confusing people they just list before tax price and add tax at the end to stop confusion and I guess aswell as price match as they would be the same price before tax just not after
@sputukgmail Жыл бұрын
So instead of confusing people by telling them the actual price, they let them guess what it will be at the check out (if prices varied by street)? Shops showing the price on the shelf is normal, so each could show the prices for that shop and there would be no confusion. The real reason is - not showing the tax makes things look cheaper, and it makes a political point of “look how much your government is taking” by making people see it as separate - which makes people resent paying tax which is what corporations want.
