I had the worst hangover of my life yesterday. Well. Maybe not the worst but. The worst in a while. Too much of a hangover for a responsible adult!!! I was in a weird mood and just didn’t pay attention, most of the time I do and cut myself off. Bleh. 🤢. I’m thinking of quitting entirely.

27 years old and I've been hospitalized for pancreatitis 7 times. 123 days sober today! I do not miss the misery of being an alcoholic. The first 2 months I struggled with euphoric recall. Fantasizing of the euphoria produced by alcohol, but now after doing some work on my spiritual life, I don't think of drinking much anymore. I'm getting a clearer image of how bad my drinking was, jnstead of fantasizing about the euphoric effects that only lasted in the first 8 drinks for me. After that it was just a sloshy, depressing night of me being isolated in my room alone. I'm actually living life and making memories and experiencing life and all of my senses in a way I've never experienced. I'm finally awake now and I have regained my place back into society.

I was a heavy drinker and have struggled to quit. I was talking to my sister about being addicted despite increasingly feeling worse each morning after a night of light drinking. She said I need to learn to be addicted to feeling good. I woke up the next day and had no desire to have another drink. Instead of drinking in the evenings, i started swimming laps. Shortly after I quit drinking, your videos started popping up on my feed. I've never once searched Google or KZbin for anything related to alcohol or quitting drinking. I have no explanation for why your videos came into my life, but I am extremely grateful they did. I did not understand any of the things I was experiencing until watching your videos. I'm fortunate that for some reason, I have not had any cravings or withdrawals. My wife even asked me to take a sip of one of our beloved drinks shortly after I quit and I literally felt sick at the thought of it. I stopped keeping track so i cant say for certain how long its been. All i know is im never drinking again. Thank you so much for your guidance and expertise.

The moment you start getting sober (like I will be at 44 after 20 plus years of alcohol), I would highly recommend ordering a CMP Blood Test which is $40 then get an appointment set up with Quest Diagnostics (or LabCorp, etc,) to have your blood draw within 2 weeks of your final bender. You'll know ur liver, metabolic, protein, blood sugar levels. Bare in mind they could be elevated after years of hard drinking. Then after 3 to 6 months its advisible to take the same test again to see if your levels inproved after 100 plus days of soberity. I hope its not too late to reverse the damage that I caused inside and out.
