Yay another video! Just want to put this here as a reminder :) Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 NIV

The Bible doesn't address mental illness but can serve as a guide for mentally well people. Those of us with issues find Biblical references unhelpful.

Sorry to hear that. What is consoling to some might cause offense to others. I think Kati has a few episodes on religious trauma that might be helpful :)

@@PAMELAPORTER-ci7mr Hi there! I wasn't trying to be unhelpful, just wanted to share the good Word of the Lord. I think the Bible does talk about mental illness. Read about Eilijah who was suicidal. You can read about verses around anxiety and depression. I myself have incurable mental illnesses and yet it still comforts me.

Do PTSD and borderline personality disorder have anything other than trauma in common?
@georgieeve2026 Жыл бұрын
Some of the symptoms and coping mechanisms can be the same/similar. Negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs can share commonality. The hylervigilence and sensitivity. The impact on functioning healthily in all areas of life. The impact on interpersonal relationships. The pathways for treatment (eg, medication for anxiety/depression/mood/neuroleptics, DBT, CBT, EMDR, exposure therapy, group therapy, journaling, innerchild work, Schema Therapy etc).

Should I expect my mental illness to get worse as I age? I was improperly diagnosed for decades and finally got some relief after being prescribed the proper meds, but I seem to need more meds.
