One of the most iconic behind the scenes R&L ever did, was when they moved into the studio they are currently in. And at that time, they had only just started hiring and got to about 20-ish people. I think that's why a lot of us thought this way. :D

I'm sure a good chunk of that hundred is the cast and crew of smosh, cause at this point they probably have as many people behind the scenes as GMM's core production team. As many people as that is, with how many things they're all making I'm certain there's not a single unnecessary job in the place.

I think even more than Smosh, Mythical Kitchen is the main evidence of Mythical expanding. They acquired Smosh, but they developed MK in-house, and it has next to 0 direct involvement from R&L themselves because they trust Josh enough to be the face of it and operate it on his own.

As much as I love Rhett and Link I don't want mythical to become a mega corporation buying new and existing content and channels, (to me at least) it isn't in the spirit of KZbin. Of course MCNs have been doing this for ages but Idunno it's just sad to see Rhett and Link associated with Disney.

I think when it comes down to it, and people may not like this, but Rhett and Link are VERY smart. They are business men, and treat Mythical as if it's a business. I know a lot of "KZbinrs" try to do the same, but R&L have mastered it. They started a whole company revolving around their image and personalities and they're doing a great job of it because they're very business savvy and I believe they always have been. Besides other things like consistency, giving the viewers what they want, and just their overall personalities. These guys know how to run a company and do a very good job of it in my opinion. By the way, Rhett and Link are probably my favorite people on this platform (:

I agree with this statement too. They're not afraid to try new things, they listen when their audience doesn't like something and adjust accordingly or over time, and they are overall very good at adapting and being flexible while balancing the sincerity of their show and humor. Side note, I also honestly think their merch has some of the most unique designs on the platform. Sure, it's got their logo and brand, but the variety in quirky styles and retro flair is seriously charming.

At the core of their content is light-hearted fun, a break from reality. You easily know why they're so successful when you let either of them rant. It's because they understand not just what is entertaining but their end goal as a whole isn't clicks and subs. People have been so starved these last few years of genuine content that isn't just about telling the viewers they messed up or did bad, that when faced with real entertainment we can't figure it out

They are just so wholesome and naturally funny. They feel like friends even when they are producing content that millions of people are watching, it feels intimate like they're your best friends. Even when a video doesn't specifically resonate with me, I'm inclined to watch it because their personalities are so interesting. Something I notice about the gmm community is we have all been here for YEARS. I started watching gmm when I was around 8 which was 8 years ago. The kids watching the show are usually the kids of someone who has been watching the show for years as well. We have all just always stuck with them, even if we take a break from the show for months we ALWAYS come back, or at least I do. A kid could enjoy the content since it's kid friendly and an adult can enjoy the adult jokes on the show. It's content you can always enjoy no matter the time or the place.

The coolest thing about them is how much they have remained such kind people, who think and feel so deeply and let it shine through in everything they do. Rhett, Link, Stevie, Jordan, Chase, Josh, Emily, all of them really seem like they never forgot that they are kind and good hearted people who want to bring a little more joy into the world. I am so fortunate to have discovered them when I embarked on my journey into practicing medicine and through times of grief, and kept watching through some of my toughest days. Knowing that little bit of joy was waiting on my phone kept me sane when I felt very much alone. I’m one of so many examples of that. And they continue to encourage people to be their mythical best, which means so much more to people than they even know. If they only knew how much they impact the misfit, the lovably awkward, the ADHD kid inside all of us, and help that spirit in each of us grow proud and strong for being a little different. They are doing EXACTLY what they are meant to do. And I am grateful.

1. Jack, I've been a huge fan of the things you've made for several years. I think you're right alongside Rhett and Link in terms of being immensely talented, super personable, and able to juggle and manage so many creative projects well. 2. It's fun to see this kind of behind the scenes of Mythical studios. I've been watching them since before Good Morning Chia Lincoln days, and I think there's a part of me that still thinks of them as a two-man operation, and like a little secret of the internet. Watching them grow to become household names is still super surreal. I'm interested to see whether or not another TV show attempt is in their future (since they've made a number of well-received late night appearances & have more experience with a large production team), though I personally hope that they would instead continue to experiment and re-define what "internetainment" can be.

Part of my favorite thing about Rhett and Link is their friendship. You can just feel the love they have for each other and it makes their content even more amazing to watch because it's two best friends from North Carolina making it together and no matter how successful they get, they are still THEM. They aren't trying to be anyone but themselves. They are two regular guys who reached success together which to me is one of the most beautiful things ever. These two are true brothers from another mother! It's been so fun watching them grow into what they are today. I started watching in 2014, I don't remember which video it was but I think Rhett and Link's kids were in it.

Jack - thank you. This is EXACTLY why I love Rhett and Link. I respect them so much as creators and it's clear to me these two (and their team) are doing something amazing and 'industry' changing. This was so delightful to watch and your enthusiasm was really sweet. I also find it really impressive that when you search for "scandals" involving them - there are none to be found. Other celebs and major KZbinrs usually have at least one or two stories out there that haunt them, but these two have nothing. They have both been married for 20 some years, they have kids who all seem happy and healthy and there are employees at Mythical who have been there a very long time - which tells me it's not a terrible place to work. I honestly cannot love them any more than I do and I am grateful for this documentary and hope they are reading the comments here. Because I am not really their target demographic (in my 40s here) and I watch every day. I watch because I feel like these two could be my friends and I appreciate them for the hard work they do to make me laugh - sometimes so hard that I have coughing fits (Orbeez GMMore for anyone wanting to almost die of laughter). Great content. Now do SimplyNailogical please and her ability to work for the Canadian government, host a podcast, have her channel and start a very amazing nail polish company. I am honestly not sure when that woman sleeps. xo

I have been a huge fan of Rhett and Link FOR YEARS! but your short film opened my eyes to things that I knew, BUT never appreciated or never saw from that POV! thank you so much what I loved the most is that you made it about the topic of convo + added your insight without adding the usual "forced" dramatic overview most youtube creators do I really enjoyed your style of editing and your presentation skills. it was never too slow (or overly dramatic) neither was it too fast. it was paced perfectly I really want more!!!! Sub!
