I had debilitating anxiety and constant panic attacks early this year, it went on for months. I was living in chronic stress and no sleep, and then the panic attack HIT while i was driving! After that I couldn't leave the house, drive or do anything that was part of my normal daily life! Shaan is completely correct when he says that your nervous system is sensitized. Following his book and watching his videos helped me so much! Thanks Shaan! ❤️

Thanks Shaan! This method has got me almost completely back to normal. The only thing hanging on is digestive discomfort after meals and burping. It's so hard to maintain the mental discipline sometimes, I'll maintain it for a couple weeks, and have no issue, get comfortable, and then a symtom will slowly pull me back into that apprehensive behavior, and my stomach will get sensitive again. Crazy how tricky our brain is.

I want to thank you for your hard work and dedication with helping us all who are going through this, you don't have to do this, so for me, I'm really appreciative. I got an email from you today and it said not to try to eliminate the symptoms because that means you're focusing on if the symptoms are still there or less intense, which causes more stress and anxiety on the body, reading that, was a game changer for me, and I will remind myself of that each day till I recover, thanks once again

One thing i've noticed recently in my recovery journey is that right when i started to feel like im finally recovered, i got hit with sexual performance anxiety and i really didn't think it would hit this hard. Its almost like my anxiety is thowing its last hissy fit at me before going away completely. The good thing is that im not having the panic attacks i was having earlier this year.

@@arsenalmike1835 Thank you so much. I've been uncovering so much about myself these past few weeks, more than ever in my recovery journey. Things are getting better and im slowly focusing on other things. I recently learned that my anxiety became generalized due to social anxiety, some attachment styles and my deep desire for external validation and love. I've struggled with this my whole life without knowing it (i thought it was just my personality type) until later it inevitably spiraled into a full blown generalized anxiety. Thanks to shawn i'm finally overcoming my GAD and now im focusing on the root cause, some childhood issues that i have to heal and just learning how to let go. My advice for you is to not focus on that yet, take the right steps, respond correctly to your panic attacks and trust that this will get better. Your anxiety will be showing you what you have to work on. Anxiety is a spiritual teacher, it show what wounds should be healed and you have to learn how to let go. Your brain is gonna put resistance, thats normal, you should let it resist a little and eventually it will give up. This comes with a feeling of sadness (this is a good sign) and then the anxiety will wear off over time. I hope you learn and grow alot from this experience.

After seeing your videos, I started my recovery journey and I was quite successful in it. But suddenly one fine evening some name of mental illness like schizophrenia and boom I got a sudden huge amount of tension in my head, and started struggling again. I know I'll win this battle again at any cost but still I felt disheartened.

I had the same problem few months ago but anxiety can't turn into schizophrenia!!! It's impossible. Two totally different things. People who have schizophrenia think that they're normal but we see that they're not and we think that we're going crazy but we are actually normal. It's just a fear and what if intrusive thought. Once again Anxiety can't turn into schizophrenia. Fear of schizophrenia is also just Anxiety. You'll be okay I promise 🩷 Just ignore those thoughts and let them be. Don't try to fight them or to Google them. Wish you all the best.

The dark "nuance" you covered in the latter half of this video is something I think I needed to have called out to me. I often find myself at a sort of mental boundary and everything in me wants to step over the line and finally leave the anxious cyclical thinking behind, but then my ego checks in and is like "HEY WHAT IF YOU'RE WRONG TO LEAVE BEHIND ALL THIS PROBLEM-SOLVING MENTAL EFFORT AND YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO HAVE THOUGHT OF AND PREPARED FOR THIS LIFE ISSUE?" In this kind of moment, it feels WRONG to stop "working" at the life problem. I'm so effing exhausted, but somehow my brain is yelling at me that if I stop this, it might just be the lack of thinking that leaves me in a place that is unprepared for a life issue I'm going through or even NOT going through. How cruel and silly of my brain to think I should tolerate constant mental fatigue to figure out happiness and contentment.

Ive been going through it the past 4 months, and last night I suddenly got depressed. Its happened here and there but I was alright but last night it absolutely dawned on me. I believe it was a setback, because now my anxiety is back and the dpdr is back. It wasnt completely gone, but I had a completely normal day before yesterday and felt like I was probably 80% recovered.

could you maybe do a "how to" whilst in an anxiety attack ? like do this font do this if u feel this focus on this etc etc. so no matter the symptoms we have a base line to refer back to to practice? I mean what's the focus/response/intent we should have in the moment. I understand mechanics but forget in the moment
@skytehpanda
@skytehpanda 2 жыл бұрын
Once you are in the moment of the panick attack, there is no how to, the ship has sailed. It's about the after response! Meaning if you have a panick attack, you do not do any safety behaviours. Meaning.. if you drive a car and you start having panick attack, do not run home, if you're in the shop, do not run outside of the shop. If you are in the gym, keep exercising once it passes. This way you teach your body that you are okay and you're not in the danger, and slowly really really slowly this will go away on it's own as your anxiety learns that you're okay. During panick attack there is no focus, or intent or logical thinking as your fight or flight mechanism is enabled and it's way more powerful than our rational part of the brain or else we wouldn't have anxiety disorder existing in the first place. You can try to keep breathing to calm your self down and try focus on that, but that's about it.

Wow. I have been on the same path as you described. I have literally been reading books, watching videos, following many anxiety practitioners, and I totally understanding everything, yet here I am today, feeling like I haven't made any progress..... Claire Weeks' book was extremely helpful at the time I read it, but it, like all the other materials I've used, only provided temporary reassurance. Despite feeling more spiritual and open to the quantum field, and being more awakened, I'm still stuck in the health anxiety loop. Currently, and what I feel is the worst symptom ever, I have issues with my eyes (flashers, floaters, had two retinal tears repaired by laser). The flashes literally consume my life, every day, and the floaters sometimes come on out of the blue and are scary to see and deal with. I feel this is because I have zero control over it and going on "Dr. Google" about these eye symptoms just made my anxiety worse (and probably the eye symptoms also). I feel like this is the ONE symptom that has really pushed me over the edge because I live in fear of "what if I get more retinal tears (2 is very uncommon as the eye doc told me), what if I get a detachment, etc. etc. I've been trying so hard to change my belief system and perceptions, but despite meditation and reading books (Joe Dispenza) I am at a standstill and living in fear....:(

Most , almost all people with anxiety have trauma and PTSD, anxiety in itself is a traumatic experience like none other, also it is developed over years so it isn't easy for anyone. Rather than delving into terminologies like PTSD, we should focus on recovery, that is how I feel and that is what Shaan also teaches.
