Why Do Tile Floors Crack?

There are a number of technical reasons why a tile floor could crack. Certainly the most common reasons would be a substrate which has too much deflection or simply improper installation of the tiles themselves. Either one of these situations is sure to lead to cracked tiles after only a short period of time

Tile is an expensive surface option with an impressively long service life when installed correctly. Installed correctly tiles can last for decades without cracking and even absorb occasional abuse like adverse temperature or humidity changes, or even impact damage.

My mobile home, we had it tiled in 2019, the installers put wood, concrete panels, then the tiles, not sure if it’s concrete but a layer of backing between the wood and tile. At first when we heard the cracking he insisted that was okay just the house was settling. Underneath the floor in my room you can hear what sounds like something cracking underneath but the tiles are not cracking, should I be worried? I was told this floor would last a lifetime.

Ty! Is there a thinset for transferring heat for radiant flooring and vapor permeable allowing water vapor to escape and not be trapped? Guess that's a difficult order to fill.
