Woooww!!! Thank you so much. I was on the quest to find out weather my cucumber was real food, or lab created because I baught her at the store and the end was foamy af. I wondered if it was acrossbreed with a Zucchini or something... I don't know. But you mentioned 'foamy' in the video, so assume that is the answer. To your question : I would guess that these bitters are comfortable in water, hence the cucumber as a environmental choice... So maybe the salts would draw the water through osmosis with the bitters out of it? I miss school sometimes. Didn't appreciate it all that well when it was there.

Maybe rubbing salts causes osmosis to release the cucurbitacins ?
