@@reesesalen5033 Interesting point there. This is a good "chicken or the egg" type of question. Are they being friendly because of the benefits or are the benefits a byproduct of their friendships? I lean towards the latter because most of them were friends long before they had successful channels. At the same time, helping each other does tend to strengthen friendships which in turn improves each other's lives symbiotically. I don't have a specific point to make, it's just something I think about occasionally. Am I doing something good because it's good or because I'm anticipating something positive in return? I try to focus on the former because it can often make it more meaningful, but there's always some personal benefit even if it's just feeling good about the attempt. There's likely nothing wrong with either motivation as long as it isn't malevolent. :-) Also, you'd probably never guess that my kids think I'm long-winded.

Frankenana is looking better all the time! As to concerns expressed; 1: No Firewall; We now have Walls for fire prevention. 2: Legroom; Plenty of legroom. 3: Seats; What was wrong with the Mtn. Dew seats? easily adjustable for height, legroom, suspension, (adjustable by the number of empty cans in the box), AND hydration! But for all the complainers, PRP has delivered some SUPER comfy seats! BIG shout out to them. Now we just need to get the mounting system... 4: FOOTroom: (directly related to number 2 above, legroom); Matt is secretly been admiring Rory's 'Dad shoes' and built the Trans cover with the intention of wearing these. Also letting Lizzy drive more. 5: Placement of the Wrecker in the ORO; Well Rory said he was there to say "Hi to Second Place", Matt. (I DEFINITELY heard a comma there didn't you?), 6: NAME of the Wrecker: DONE! see first word of comment above!😁😁😉

I love watching the build come along so well, there's only one gripe I have and that is leg room also. It would have been better having the engine a couple of inches forward to increase legroom and I don't think it would have affected weight balance or the wrecker's ability to climb or descend at steep angles. Tucker those new shocks look fantastic and should be a great improvement, just watch that hose that appeared to be rubbing on the shock body.

Matt, if you find that there just is not enough leg room for it to be comfortable to drive you could get an extra 2 to 3 inches of leg room and probably 3 to 4 inches of head room with a much thinner racing seat design. There are a ton of nice racing/performance seats out there to pick from, some of which are carbon fiber shells with dense padding that is very thin but still very comfortable. Look at the Sparco SPX or some of the Recaro designs. I think you will find that most of them will give you more room to work with while still being comfortable to sit on. I can tell you from experience that it doesn't matter if the seat is super comfortable if your legs aren't, and all the leg room in the world doesn't matter if the seat sucks!

Good advice about the welding and that’s what welders should be doing all the time anyway (paying attention to there puddles) a good welder knows how to control the size, shape & temperature of there puddles. In order to do that you have to be able to see the actual puddle and if you can’t then you need to adjust your lenses so you can. That is one reason that so many people have issues with welding aluminum is because it’s more difficult to differentiate the actual puddle from the rest of the weld due to the color of the material.

Love seeing it come together more and more! Regarding the leg room just a little fun fact.. In the automobile industry the location of the pedals is one of the key reference points for measurements and placement of other parts of the vehicle. Now we also kinda see why. If it wouldn't have worked out you would have had to change the whole motor or cabin position which would both mean a really big operation. Kinda interesting to see that

Awesome Guys a person never knows how much really goes in to building a specialty vehicle. But you have certainly kept use on track with building the off- road wrecker. So much fun watching your work and all the friends who stop by. Happy motoring. Till the next time.

At 1:20: Hmm-- a piece of raw steel perched between the exposed battery terminals... at 13:20 that's the harness for the parachute; for when you have to abandon the cab before the wrecker goes over a cliff... at 14:07: Yea!! Eye protection in use (mostly)! The passenger's feet might get a little warm with the headers underneath. Hey--can't help the remarks- I'm a former (but never completely retired) engineer/safety officer! Just want to insure you keep all your fingers and eyes intact!

Kind of difficult to imagine how much work you've already put into this, seeing as how you're doing so while attending so many other events, as well as doing so many different types of recoveries. - - As close as this is getting to being completed, I really hope that after its first test-drive it doesn't get shipped off to Robby for several months while it undergoes extensively detailed body, paint & interior work.

I really like the progress on the tow truck and I was surprised seeing the special appearances by Robby, Fab Rats and Rory. I think Lizzy is a natural leader the way she stepped up when Matt was out of town was interesting. I give Trevor credit for keeping a straight face when he referred to Tuckers vehicle as Pocahontas. I am a fan of everyone but my money is on Rory when it comes to the tow truck Olympics if I was a betting man

I'm just wondering if you'll put any sond dampening/ insulation on your new firewall and any other areas of the cab? Good to see things progressing so well. Also liked that you put ear mufflers on when pounding metal inside the cab. But do you folks wear any type of hearing protection any other time while working in your shop? All the cutting/ grinding/pounding will ruin your hearing, trust me I know. After a few years doing such things myself I now have tinnitus (ringing in the ears) that doesn't go away, and use hearing aids. Hearing aids don't make up the difference of what you lose. They help but just not the same as your "original" hearing. Anyway thanks for the videos. Always enjoy seeing them.

Rory will be tough to beat because he has his rig together and has been using it. He knows his trucks limits and can compensate for the short comings it has. Had the heavy wrecker been together and you had time to work out the kinks it would be a different story. Paul is in the same boat.

The wrecker is looking absolutely epic! The foot/leg room, not so much. With all of the craftsmanship put into this build, it would be a shame to not make it as ergonomic and comfortable as possible. Can't wait to see this Mega Banana (my name recommendation) in action! Keep doing what you do!

Ok Matt's moving forward with the biggest wrecker build and things are coming along! I love all the jabbing that Rory and Paul are giving Matt. Holly made a surprise visit getting some parts and Lizzy just keeps getting better at welding! She's going to be a good replacement for Rudy with her welding. Keep charging!

Hope you have the room for getting to your number 7 and 8 spark plugs, up against the firewall. I wrestled with mine yesterday afternoon changing spark plugs in my Tahoe. It's a tight squeeze back there in the Tahoe, and I noticed your sheet metal comes pretty close from what I saw! Good Luck!

Another great video “in the can”…..Lizzy’s gotta be one of the best “natural” welders I’ve ever witnessed, all the friends (competition) stopping by to check out y’all’s build, Trevor is always a trip (see what I did there?), Tucker is just handy as all git out, and Tom Tom is always there when needed. The build is awe inspiring in its complexity and I look forward to seeing y’all “rollin heavy” in the near future. So, when are y’all gonna begin the naming contest? 😊

Matt’s levels of eye protection: 1: ward off flying debris with your aura 2: squint 3: peer through your fingers 4: look in a different direction 5: actually wear eye protection the build must be getting serious, because this is the first video i’ve seen it get to level 5!
