Couple more weird things. Marriage is literally a waste of time and has little to no noticeable benefit. The same benefit is provided by 2 characters being lovers, and the benefit only helps happiness which is the easiest stat to increase. Your characters can NOT die in quests, so if your goal is to have a very specific leader you should pick the oldest candidate until they are fit to lead. After a certain point, you will have a bunch of common characters roaming around doing nothing but soaking up food and oil while providing nothing because all jobs are filled and you breed them to try and get a different rarity of character. If you try to f2p the battle pass, and pay it after completing it, you only get the last 5 rewards.

Okay, hear me out for a second. I may be outing myself as the total control freak I am, but I kinda like this one. It has decent potential as a project management game. You get to essentially be the manager of an entire castle that you build and sort out. If there's one thing skyrim lacked, it was admin stuff. Simple puzzles or scenarios where you had to put the down the daedric sword and pick up a quill and make a few rulings. I play a modded skyrim every day and have done so for the last few years. One of the things I always felt was missing, for realism's sake, was just that - having to make administrative decisions or be a pivotal part of say, a jarl's court, or build your own castle. There are mods for that, of course, but my shitty Sony vaio from 2012 would probably turn into a thermonuclear bomb if I add any more mods. Best I've been able to settle for, was a mod that let's you remodel Harkon's castle after you slaughter him. Elder scrolls castles perfectly compliments skyrim - it's like you can spend 10-15 minutes satisfying your OCD and control freak nature, before switching back to skyrim and butchering bandits. And whilst it is definitely a shameless cash grab, you don't _have_ to pay for the emperor's pass if you don't want. Just play casually.

I think mobile games are supposed to be slow. A day for a year is pretty fast to me. Only get to enjoy that character for a couple of months and never again. Now, if the characters are boring and uninteresting, that is a different issue. The game is not bad because a day is equal to a year it would be bad because the gameplay and characters suck. Having a sort of ant farm type simulation game with Elder Scrolls flavor would be nice, but yeah, the gameplay and characters need to be interesting.

People in the game are considered adults at sixteen not eighteen. There is also the option to use an elixer to make babies or children adults right away. When your current ruler dies, you get to choose who succeeds them, it doesn't have to be the current heir apparent. And you absolutely can build a whatever race you want dynasty. I've done it in my game. And I think the art style is cute. I've not spent a single real world cent and I've progressed to over level 100 in about a month. There's absolutely no reason to spend real world money to enjoy it. There is a chance of a Skeever infestation, The Eclipse, and you can also have your castle cursed and these all add a bit of a challenge. Those are the three I've found so far to add additional challenge.

a little fun fact about the empire pass, I played it before it officially came out and the empire pass was actually better for two main reason, it cost used gems and not real money (it was 500 gems for 7D) and you where able to get everything without only unlocking the last five rewards, so they basically nerf the empire pass for money, also, gems was very obtainable before it's official release and now it's very hard to get gems (for me at least)

Like that one book in Skyrim said, the child is usually the same race as the mother with some traits from the Father's race, but at least some of the time the child can be the same race as the Father though that is less common.

Hello, business major here. If I had to guess, I'd say that Castles was made purely as a marketing tool to give the IP a small boost in relevance before a big announcement. Another theory I have is that Bethesda could be trying to gain another revenue stream to fund future projects, which wouldn't be too far out of the question given Starfield's sales records. Furthermore, looking at other Microsoft owned studios, I personally believe that the current funding MS provides their studios isn't enough to meet the expectations of both shareholders and consumers (bear in mind I have no evidence of this apart from observations of other MS studios).

Definitely not an easy game. One of the points is to have a long ruling ruler. That can be a challenge because of how emotional ALL the toons are. Also, grinding to get what you need to succeed in the battles is also challenging. The worst part of the game is that you can't earn a reward for each level you achieve unless you buy every other level.

I totally agree on the pricing being RIDICULOUS. Im used to paying £3 a month on average for other mobile games or just around £4 for season passes. To have it at £5 A WEEK - even having a week as an option?? - and then £15 A MONTH is disgusting cash grabbing by the devs. Because of this total lack of respect for the players, i will NEVER even occasionally purchase ANYTHING from this game, even if it were one-off items. Honestly I kinda enjoy it... Its a fun lil game... Problem being it isnt unique in its aesthetic... Like Isran... The "Dawnguard" armor he wears is just above average silver armor... Rahim was also my choice and he has currently been ruling for 36 years... He has already surpassed Odar... Also as for the danger aspect... If you make a bad choice you can get "cursed" which makes people angrier at your bad choices, you can unleash a "plague" which slowly deteriorates the health of everyone and makes them less productive, then there is a "eclipse" which consumes oil faster to keep the castle lit.... These can all be fixed fairly easily... It is a somewhat fun game to pass the time but it isnt very keen on the finer details.

Ngl this game is kinda crap [rather play ESO] tho skyrim mods have rebuilding Helgen and Winterhold, and a Mod that lets you become High King/Queen and wipe out the Imperials and Storm Cloaks...
