seriously. Used to use Chrome, and it is really sh!t. No real time syncing, no extensions, etc So then when Edge launched with that BING AI search, that time I shifted to Edge, so atleast I have proper synced tabs. But then Firefox just brought proper extension support on Android. and since then there is just no looking back, syncing works flawlessly as well between devices. It's just so great.

Still baffles me that the biggest tech people on the internet don’t know you can use an Apple Watch completely stand alone, not synced to anything. I synced my watch once during set up with a friends phone and I haven’t done it in over a year. I don’t own a phone. Everything syncs up with my iPad including health data, iMessage, music, podcast, etc.

Tried this with my son’s watch and couldn’t do basic things like sleep tracking, using KZbin music, and more. Frustrating that the iPad can’t do everything the iPhone can with the watch.

I know 99% dont care, but Im mad at how hard it is to find an Android phone that works with a usb to hdmi adapter. All iphones can do it. It varies so much for each brand. 5 oneplus phones in my house do not work, maybe newer ones do? My old lg v30 does work. The flagship samsungs work i think. None of the pixels work. Except for the 8 i think because google was turning it on. I dont need samsung dex, just want to mirror my screen without wifi or lag.

I don't want my apple watch to be able to work with my iPad, I want it to be able to work by itself. Get cellular, throw my phone in the garbage, and take calls, send texts, listen to music, open maps, track my workouts, run my schedule, etc. ALL on my wrist. All the tech is there, why I still have to pay for a phone plan is insane to me

4:25 I too ran into an issue this morning when I tried to comment on the video, and all I could see was the video nothing else on the screen. I do have a lot of things running so I ran the same video in private mode, and everything showed up. I disabled everything that made sense to disable, and it still did the same thing. I had to comment on a different browser, not chromium based still.

Perhaps because they’ve shown us that it can - the watch already works with Macs (granted, in a VERY basic way) to auto-unlock from sleep, authorise software installs instead of typing a password, and even to Apple Pay for purchases. So wanting _(not expecting)_ just as ‘basic’ connectivity elsewhere isn’t totally outlandish. 😊

The problem with needing a phone is an issue that all people with preteens are having... They want a way to communicate with their kids when they are not home but don't want to have to buy a phone to go with a watch. This is a problem for both apple watch and Android watches. Families want a way to get an LTE watch without the need for an additional device.

Thing is that aside from the Apple ecosystem integrations Apple Watch is a mediocre sports/health/fitness watch with relatively poor battery life compared to e.g. Fitbit and Garmin (the one exception being its superior ecg functionality). So honestly, I don't get being mad about not being able to pair Apple Watch to an Android.
