Hey, Justin! First things first. Sorry about my english. I'm a spanish professional musician. In 2003 I listened to "I believe in a thing called love" for the first time, I was on my twenties then. I loved Queen, Zeppelin and all that Rock music. In my 16th birthday my parents gave me Queen's "Innuendo" as a present and that is my favourite LP even today. I remember hearing about Freddie's death in the news and feeling as bad as if he were a member of my family. I remember I was almost driven to tears. Since Freddie is dead I love to believe The Darkness is the perfect replacement for post-Innuendo Queen. I would love if you could have been singing with Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. At the time I wasn't a fan of yours, but now I can say with pride I love you. Keep the good work, there's a lot of people that love you for what you are. Again, sorry about my english.

I am around your age and am thankful for growing up with my parents' rock - Led Z, Jimi, Fleetwood, Doors, Prog bands and such; am also thankful for us 80s skater/arty kids discovering NOT our parents' rock and going back a few years and getting into the Misfits, Stooges, Bad Brains, Velvet Underground, Wire, etc. while also getting into what kind of rocked for us at the time (Cult and Fugazi come to mind). Of all of the contemporary bands I listen to while running at night (mild-mannered child psychologist zooming through the neighborhood with Idles, Viagra Boys, King Gizzard, Wet Leg, Oh Sees, etc. in zee earbuds), you seem to have similar notes and delights in the discovery of them. Justin as you recently listened to Band Maid's Dice and found them to be enjoyable, have you considered going deeper into the Japanese Rock/Metal genre? If you do May I suggest to you Unlucky Morpheus and their dual song Cadaver/Revadac. It is a unique composition. Cadaver is the forward looking song, Revadac is the same song in reverse with the exception of the drums and vocals. The guitars and violin play Cadaver in reverse. The video is very striking as well. And should you revisit Band Maid, I suggest you do so with one of their live performances. "Play" would be my suggestion due to the extended instrumental intro that showcases the musicianship of the Ladies. Thank you for your work to make these videos. I found you originally after the dust up about Gene Simmons and backing tracks. I have been subscribed ever since, and I'm enjoying listening to The Darkness, as I hadn't known about you and them as I had mostly given up on "Modern Rock".
