Hey, Justin! First things first. Sorry about my english. I'm a spanish professional musician. In 2003 I listened to "I believe in a thing called love" for the first time, I was on my twenties then. I loved Queen, Zeppelin and all that Rock music. In my 16th birthday my parents gave me Queen's "Innuendo" as a present and that is my favourite LP even today. I remember hearing about Freddie's death in the news and feeling as bad as if he were a member of my family. I remember I was almost driven to tears. Since Freddie is dead I love to believe The Darkness is the perfect replacement for post-Innuendo Queen. I would love if you could have been singing with Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. At the time I wasn't a fan of yours, but now I can say with pride I love you. Keep the good work, there's a lot of people that love you for what you are. Again, sorry about my english.

Congratulations for 200k+ subscribers. OF COURSE! Your knowledge of music (writing, arrangement, technique, production, rock history, I could go on...) is outstanding and I enjoy your careful, kind, and spot-on humorous delivery. You speak of things contemporary and also historic. I am around your age and am thankful for growing up with my parents' rock - Led Z, Jimi, Fleetwood, Doors, Prog bands and such; am also thankful for us 80s skater/arty kids discovering NOT our parents' rock and going back a few years and getting into the Misfits, Stooges, Bad Brains, Velvet Underground, Wire, etc. while also getting into what kind of rocked for us at the time (Cult and Fugazi come to mind). Of all of the contemporary bands I listen to while running at night (mild-mannered child psychologist zooming through the neighborhood with Idles, Viagra Boys, King Gizzard, Wet Leg, Oh Sees, etc. in zee earbuds), you seem to have similar notes and delights in the discovery of them. Excellent channel and so happy to have found your unique voice on rock things present and past!

Thanks; I love Taylor’s music, Red Light Fever was what I was listening to none stop around when I got married, which contrary to everybody’s dream-like ideas of a wedding is (or can be) just about the most stressful thing a couple can do aside from maybe moving house, and songs like Hell to Pay were just absolutely epic and in part summed up how my wife and I felt, and the relief of when it was over and we finally got to just enjoy a bit of time going away alone. Get the Money was also a great album that deserves wider recognition. But, really really hope you can do ‘Bob Quit His Job’ from the KOTA EP! My son loves that song 😎

Congrats on your 200k subscribers! I've been thinking recently that I'd love to see your take on The National and why their music is so polarizing. I find it really confusing. To me, this band is a lot like bananas: they're there, you like them, but you're not overly crazy about them, they're your comfort food, and then suddenly you find there's an entire group of people who hate them with an unexplicable passion and you just don't understand why. I am sure I am not the only one who laughed out loud but also cringed at the same time when the pick was dropped inside the acoustic! 🤣

The trick with the old pick-in-the-guitar snafu is to first invert the guitar so the pick is at the top of the body Then, its close to the sound hole and you can jump it out easily.

These are great to watch while isolating!!. Justin -Re enunciation - you always come across very well educated. Did you have elocution lessons while waiting to become a 'rock star', or did you always have a good command of English? (If only I could be half as articulate)..!

Justin as you recently listened to Band Maid's Dice and found them to be enjoyable, have you considered going deeper into the Japanese Rock/Metal genre? If you do May I suggest to you Unlucky Morpheus and their dual song Cadaver/Revadac. It is a unique composition. Cadaver is the forward looking song, Revadac is the same song in reverse with the exception of the drums and vocals. The guitars and violin play Cadaver in reverse. The video is very striking as well. And should you revisit Band Maid, I suggest you do so with one of their live performances. "Play" would be my suggestion due to the extended instrumental intro that showcases the musicianship of the Ladies. Thank you for your work to make these videos. I found you originally after the dust up about Gene Simmons and backing tracks. I have been subscribed ever since, and I'm enjoying listening to The Darkness, as I hadn't known about you and them as I had mostly given up on "Modern Rock".

Got a little excited when you said you filmed a faith no more vid. Faith no more are one of my all time favourite bands and Mike Patton is a god! Can't wait for that one. Thanks Justin 😁

If you drop your pick inside of your acoustic another way to get it is tune your A, D, G and B string down and reach in and get it with your hand.

Well whaddayaknow, ol' Justie Hawks has a youtube channel! :) been bingeing your vids & having a proper laugh! Congrats on 200K subs! Off-topic-I read you were vegan but also that you're no longer vegan? None of my business at all but you wanted questions? (Maybe not this one though...) If you aren't, thank you for the time that you were & for speaking up for the animals. Subscribed to cancel out that troll-person you lit the candle for ;) xxx
