This is happening now because Nintendo is very popular now. Wii U only sold 14M units so nobody cared about it. Kind of like what happened with windows and Mac OS where viruses were made for PC only when nobody had MacBooks.

There is an email that got leaked where a Nintendo exec sent communication to Microsoft about Nintendo games coming to PC platform in the next 5 years and that was in 2020. It could be why they are going after PC emulators so hard as they don’t want to launch their PC application with people already playing their games on PC and not paying for it.

Probably the reason Switch was hacked so quickly vs the other systems is due to Nintendo's nature to use old technology... they have already been figured out by hackers and modders, whereas new technology in newer systems require more time to figure out

I'll tell you what Nintendo can do, but will not.. Release their game on PC. That's it. Emulation will always stay. Why do you think they are going after emulation? Especially closing down Yuzu, Ryujinx, Suyu, etc? Because the Next "Switch" will be of the same architecture, like the first one.

But here's the thing, these Nintendo games won't be exclusive to the switch if they decide to go on pc. Yeah they can get a little bit more sales, but the cost of their hardware not selling because of a switch to being on other platforms would definitely ruin Nintendo with their own Hardware. Yeah you can say to make better hardware but let's face it, the PC will always be better with graphics, storage, etc. so no matter what when people say that they would buy Nintendo's hardware, some/most won't and would just emulate it on PC instead because it is a multi-purpose hardware that people can upgrade at any time. I think Emulation is fine but don't say it's for preservation because we know that emulation is to play games, retro or not, on a better hardware. Physical/Roms are for preservation, not emulation, it depends on how you obtain/use it.

Ok i can say with priority because i live in a third world country and dude piracy here are super important to enable people who don`t have money to enjoy this kind of experience.And i know a lot of friends that when they improve their lifes they starts to using/buying only original stuff...so i don`t see any kind of negative thing in piracy...actually it helps because piracy turn people(who otherwise didn`t have any chance to play this games) in future buyers.
