It's never selfish to focus on your goals. Because if your purpose is not the most important thing in your life, then you are committing a crime against yourself. Whatever it is that you do. And If you do value your purpose, Even your woman is going to support you and respect you. Keep it up Nick, I'm positive that you'll make it big in the fitness industry. Whether it's youtube or your company.

Totally true man about foreigners coming to the states man, it can be hard for us sometimes due to language or cultural differences. I was in the Taiwanese Army before coming here now to Penn State for college. The best way for me to connect with American guys here was my military service and love for firearms. I feel that finding similarities is always the best way to start a friendship regardless of culture or race. Props to you bro!

something I've always wondered about people in the military. I've worked for the last 5 years ever since I graduated highschool and it really sucks, especially because it's been factory work and I can't exactly be proud of it. now I'm joining the air force in order to start a career I can be proud of, so when I here about people who enjoy the military leaving the military especially if you're one of the guys who says it's the best thing they've ever did, I wonder why in the world they would want to do that and start over. granted there's great jobs and career outside the military. to me the military seems like a way better career as long as you don't absolutely hate it.

That lonely feeling you're experiencing in Seoul is the same in almost any big city in the world. Granted, it's amplified because of the language barrier, but it's still there in English speaking cities in the US or UK. My take is that it's just a symptom of overcrowding. I found it to be different in the "smaller" cities. I was stationed in Daegu in the 80s and was all over the peninsula as a contractor in the 90s (Seoul, Osan, Pyongtaek, Daegu, Kunsan, Busan, Waegwan, and Tong Du Chon 'Casey'). I found civilians in the smaller towns to be very friendly, in spite of the language barrier. It helps if you make some effort to learn even a scant vocabulary of the language.

Yes, I'm sure the mandatory language, weapons, communication, medical, and engineer skills along with opportunities for further education like getting a Masters along with the universally-useful mental attributes are gonna leave a SF guy unemployable, not to mention the GI Bill. If anything Special Forces wouldn't take him because of Persec and Opsec violations.
@SitRepful8 жыл бұрын
While Army Special Forces can and do conduct direct action missions, their primary mission is unconventional warfare and foreign internal defense. Or more simply: Teaching. The broad swath of skills SF have to learn are very valuable skills to have on the job market. Additionally, there are the intangible qualities that are every bit as valuable, even if it may not seem so if you don't have them. Resourcefulness, time management, leadership skills, empathy, teamwork. I am a Navy guy, and even then I would be the first to say that US Army Special Forces offer the most "employable" skills out of all the services.

Its not just a language barrier, there's a huge cultural barrier too. Obviously in the US , or Canada talking to people, making eye contact while you talk is polite and thats the expected thing to do. But, I beleive in other countries it can be seen as a sign of disrespect and what not. Not sure, but i think maybe thats why their comfort level might not be that high with you guys. After realising that, I made few changes, she hated coming often to my place and when she would come my life will go to a hold for that day and another maybe and now I don't have time like that so we made a deal, I go to her place more frequently and stay shorter periods of time and we see each other in the city more often. THE GIRLFRIEND THINK WILL BE YOUR REGRET. I did the same thing several years back , focusing on me , college and career, now I regret that cause I dont have the career I was going after, ended up not finishing college and still no girlfriend. I regret turning down all the females I told I was not interesting in then cause I was focus on me..
@Shane101A8 жыл бұрын
Why would he regret it? Women kill dreams and ambition and cost too much money. Him focusing on himself will allow him the possibility of acquiring vast wealth while never having to worry about getting a girl pregnant. His sexual market value will increase as his wealth increases, regardless of him getting older. Just look at Tom Leykis, overweight, not very attractive, but has fat cash so he gets whatever chicks he wants. From your comment, it sounds like you weren't committed enough to finish college and pursue the career you want which means lack of money and status, which is what women want. Get money and the women will flock to you.

But if you get a girl that helps you grow, then that would only help you in moving forward rather than holding you back. Being in a relationship doesn't always mean cuddling and Netflix. It can be getting sh*t done, but together.

Hey, great video. I'm an Iraq War vet with ptsd and your routine sounds like exactly what I need right now. What is your company?

Hey dude I really like your videos. I think you should try cracking eggs against a flat surface instead of a corner though.

You have to earn your spurs without the military and a partner for a bit. Then you truly understand and appreciate personal freedom, and earn your self respect and esteem.

Sir youre very inspirational. I always trying to acomplish so much but end up doing so little, and just like you when i got to korea i decided not to buy internet, Tv and my xbox is under my bed.. But one thing you just mentioned is that you write down a schedule. So from now on i will do the same, hopefully i can acomplish more during the day when i have to meet timelines.

In my opinion, that isn't being selfish at all dude. One thing that my mom told me when I was younger was to focus on becoming independent and successful first before women. Then, you'll have your pick. haha Sounds silly but moms always know best. Great video as always man.
