I understand the out-of-universe implications, but if the move is banned within the rules of the kayfabe environment, there should be an in-universe justification for it. The piledriver's kayfabe justification for being banned was that dropping someone directly on the top of their head was too dangerous, so it became an illegal hold. I can see a similar justification for the Destroyer, but I can't think of a logical in-universe reason for a Superkick to be banned, or for a Tope Suicida to be banned while other, way more dangerous inside-to-outside dives are legal.

You misunderstand, he doesn't want to ban them, there should just be a rule that is unspoken that you simply just don't do them unless it's your finisher maybe stop doing it. Nothing new here just a return to old school wrestling 101 mindset where big moves/wow moments are kept for when it actually has meaning instead of just breaking out every major move in every match no matter what the occasion,leaving nothing for those special ppv or defining match spots,Canadian destroyer/destroyer is a truly special move that is now reduced to a regular spot as is the same with a lot of former high spot moves,if your going through a table every match or jumping off a ladder then it does make it common place and takes away it's shine

I agree to certain extents. The Canadian destroyer to me definitely shouldn’t be used as much as it is now and it should definitely only be used as a devastating finisher. I also hate how overused superkicks are and it’s probably my bias to Shawn Micheals and why I dislike the young bucks so much. The super kick should be a special move used to finish matches or to set up your finisher, but for me moves like the DDT aren’t worth finishing a match with. Same with powerbombs unless the one doing it has a special flair to it that helps it look cooler and seem more devastating. We just have to find a fine line with overused moves and which ones should be gatekept and which ones can stay being used the same as they are now.

With WWE we get virtually no wrestling, but when we get it the matches aren't half bad, they are usually pretty good, but it's the bad creative that's keeping the promotion down. AEW has too much wrestling, too many wrestlers, and not enough wit to get done what they want done. AEW has something very special going on, but nothing is being utilized correctly besides MJF. All I've heard about CYN is people bashing it for the rules. But what he's saying makes complete sense. EC3's whole demeanor sounds like he knows what he's doing. Give it a fucking chance.

Love when someone answers a question with a lot of talking and not saying anything at the same time.

I would be happy just to ban more than one guy catching a dive. You see opponents hugging and staring at the guys in the ring waiting to catch them. It's the fakest thing ever.

No more casual cutters or super kicks fucking going through the rope or Canadian destroyers

Though Im not a huge fan of his in-ring work, EC3's character work was top notch. Shame he didnt get a fair shake in WWE. Eli Drake too

I’ve always felt lower and midcarders should have their move sets restricted. Only main eventers should be able to go all out.
@Viper0172 жыл бұрын
He says these moves aren't special anymore because everyone does them and they're so common. But aren't there like maybe 5 people total who can do the Canadian Destroyer?
@burdenernie60502 жыл бұрын
Nobody but Petey Williams should do the Canadian Destroyer!!!

Nowadays Super kicks are more common than chops

i'm not mad at EC3 controlling those 3 moves narratives - he's got a point

100 percent agree. Alot of moves are dead these days and I reckon this bann will restore them as deadly again.
@haydenburns6322 жыл бұрын
Well no it won't restore anything as you can still do them in any company outside cyn🤣

What's the reason for the banning "in story line"?
@RetroTiburon2 жыл бұрын
It is pretty annoying to see everyone want to do a Canadian Destroyer. Kind of like in the 90's when everyone was doing a DDT.

Thing about all these moves that were once Finishing moves back in the day, That everybody does now, NO F@#ker sells them...they get hit by one move,then there back up 2mins later as if nothing happened...to hit there so call big move... Ricky Steamboat would sell,throughout the entire match..even if it was a simple move.

"That's what you do--you protect moves that are super cool." Yes, THIS all day!

I mean, the DDT really should be a match-ender, considering it's forcefully driving you down on your head and neck
@ydoihave2picaname2 жыл бұрын
I'm cool with it. Someone will use it in defiance and it will mean something. I have no problem with 50 super kicked in a match but if that's how they want to do it and do it well, I'll give you the opportunity to tell that story

Best thing about him is the crowd response in TNA. You can't wrestle! Yes I can! You can't wrestle! I'm very good! 😄

Thats not outside the box. It's old school wrestling. I mean top rope moves were illegal in NWA, Instant heat

The fans are the one that should decide if a move is cool and relevant or not. I've seen a thousand Canadian Destroyers and it still feels awesome to see, i don't give a fuck if it ended the match or not, it looks cool. I appreciate they trying something kinda new, I guess (?)

ec3 has a fucking amazing perception of his art. his breakdown of the suicida here is crazy..and 110% correct..damn..vince dropped the ball per usual.
