An example of a possible future scenario, an off world mining effort is pre programmed into a range of robotic systems practiced first in similar landscapes on earth and then sent out into the cosmos to gather vital elements from reachable planetoids. we could create a situation where materials are merely sent back to earth in our absence....or used to build ships in space so as to avoid the huge amounts of energy required to push against this planets atmosphere.....

If Elon were focused on true moonshots, he would have R&D beyond chemical propulsion 😂. Chemical propulsion is just standard, safe. Not a moonshot.
