The label is funny. But you know its trustworthy when it comes from wikipedia. When I was working on my degree, the school had a policy against the use of wikipedia as a source, because it wasn’t an actual source. I always tried to find and use peer reviewed type sources and even original source material. Wikipedia has been known to be openly editable by anyone with a keyboard.

That doesn't prove 1) that there is a long term change, 2) that it is dangerous, 3) that it is man made. It could be that we are returning to God's ideal or that we are headed to God's judgment or anything in between. A few hundred years ago people ice skated on the Thames, there is evidence before that of vineyards during Roman occupation of Britain. Were the Romans causing climate change?

I just had my PhD prospectus approved at The Master's Seminary to write on ecotheological interpretations of the dominion mandate in Genesis 1:26-28. To call this a cult is not too strong a term. You should see the thousands of journal articles, essays, and books being written on the topic Ecotheological Hermeneutics and Ecotheology. It has become a whole separate branch of theology. Many evangelicals are buying into it hook-line-and-sinker. Doug Moo with his son Jonathan is one who has gone down this road. It is disturbing to me as I research and run across mainline evangelicals quoting Bible-denying liberal theologians approvingly at almost every turn. Cal Beisner's Cornwall Alliance is certainly a good place to turn to for sane, biblical analysis of this. He, along with Dr. David Legetes--a retured climatologist--does a splendid job in informing evangelicals of what is going on from solid biblical worldview perspective. Jon, I certainly hope that Cal is one of your guests.

@@vikkiadler1920 That Covenant Theology is unworkable hermeneutics. The 10 commandments were for Israel only as specifically the Bible says so. Shabbat NEVER got changed into "the Lord's day" Sunday, which is an early TRADITION of men and nowhere commanded. Both Christ and Paul made it clear that the Law CANNOT be broken. Christ said you must obey the least of the Mosaic commandments. Paul said if you insist on one part of the old law you must keep it all. Nowhere in Scripture is the law divided into ceremonial, civil and moral. The main champion of that idea, Thomas Aquinas, left Church one day and said to burn EVERYTHING he had written as worthless. The Reformers did great work, but their hermeneutics remained faulty and thus patched old wineskins (Moses) with new, resulting in worse.

That story has nothing to do with social justice, which is a heresy. The story literally teaches that God's grace is not unfair, for He can do whatever He likes with what is His. Grace is freely given and is different from justice, which is something owed to one who was wronged.

The Bible clearly speaks of creation in 6 literal days and Adam was created directly by God and we have the genealogies to track time over. An ice age after the flood is very plausible and the different fossils and geological column make the most sense from catastrophe, not long gradual changes over millions of years
