I’ve done the spray paint on water, it’s called hydro dipping. I used 3 different sizes of clear vases from DT and they came out great.

I'm a retired Dietary Manager and want to give you my two cents, LOL! If you're using stain that isn't food safe and/or using a non food safe sealer, you need to use a doily between your stain and the food for safety reasons. It may cause someone to get foodborne illness. I would hate to hear someone that ate cookies, etc. off your dish because it wasn't protected. I buy so much from DT that I feel like I own stock with them, LOL

Hey, Jaz, I'm new to your channel and just wanted to say "thank you for sharing" your projects. The only thing I would do differently is to use a wood candle stick for the last project using the same stain as the tray! That is, of course, just a personal preference. It goes without saying yours turned out beautifully ☺️. Jaz!! I used to watch you on another of your channels. Many of your projects made a huge impression on me. I remember the flower cart and wagon you made along with the ladders. I also remember your great Halloween projects. I hope I haven’t missed what you’ve made for this year. I’ve had vision problems and stopped watching a lot of channels then couldn’t find them. I really like the wooden candle holders that have the glass tops. My favorite. Second choice is the glass candle holders that you painted black. The candle tray is adorable. Wish you would take the tags off of things b-4 you glue them together.

You are very creative and thanks for sharing. I love the candlesticks that you made. I am going to try that, but for my own style I will leave the crystal as is for candle light effect. I hope I can find those 🤔 as they were so pretty. I liked the tray too although I would probably put the candles in small glass holders. I would be concerned of hot wax and plastic, also easier to move/add/switch etc.
